he'll move back to bench once jakob comes back, but he'll definitely get minutes

I think he's a 4/5 , in the same vein Scottie isn't a true PF and more of a 3/4.
Moving forward and recognizing we played 3 of the 4 tallest teams in the league, you can play CMB at center in most matchups, and then mix looks up when you face the Joker's, Embiid's et al. CMB's still a kid, but he has enormous hands and a man's physique already. He's only going to grow into that frame. Now it's his rook year, so he'll likely hit a wall, but that's a chat for another day.

He is too valuable, on both ends of the court, to keep out of the SL.

Gradey has been chucking up bricks but has strangely been one of our best +/- guys. Probably hard for people to believe but the Team D has been fine when he's out on the court.

Team could be even better if he starts contributing on both ends. If we're gonna have to live with his league worst defense/rebounding then become an elite scorer at least.

Ya...he'll still easily get 30+ minutes per game as a backup 3/4/5. He's making a case as 6th man for this season and the ultimate utility guy.

And yes...he will finish a lot of games this season at the 5 over Jak. I'm not concerned about minutes or role for CMB.

I just love how he's able to rip the ball out of guys hands. He's very strong. Can't wait to see him after he adds the obligatory 15 lbs of muscle in the summer.

He's a great asset on a team needing certified good players. As for his off-season, I see him more needing to drop some body fat rather than gain muscle. He's already got such a strong frame.

Put RJ at the 1, move Scottie to the 3, Ingram to the 2, CMB at the 4 when Jakob's back is back

The way Scottie's been shooting from outside this season, he is the spacing

I think we are seeing that Mogbo has no spot on this team in the future except 3rd stinger. As well, we know a guard should go to open up room.

Need a nice tidy consolidation or a trade for a pick.

Start Battle over IQ.

It’s not like IQ is playing like prime CP3 lol. He’s doing basic stuff bringing it up the court, making the initial pass. Just have one of Scottie or RJ do that. The whole point of Quick was to have someone who can knock down shots. He’s too small to create space, Battle knows how to find his spots and is actually a damn good shooter. Not to mention not a complete pushover like IQ defensively and should make the starting lineup fairly switchable.

Ofc admittingly it’s incredibly unlikely that they’d have the balls to bench an overpaid guard they wanna validate for a guy who’s supposed to be end of rotation making peanuts but I honestly think it would be a good fit.

Or we just settle down and let IQ figure it out. Pretty sure the guy hasn’t forgotten how to play basketball over the summer lol

Battle needs minutes though. It’s a joke watching Dick or Walter play over him

Trade Ochai to open up more space for CMB. Holmes or Sharpe from from Denver n Bk are what I'm looking at.

We need to find another word for perceived redundancy & fit as a negative, or at least not jump the gun or be so hesitant. Often times the redundancy/fit concerns turn into an identity/Vision/chemistry position positive. RJ + CMB were my focus there.
I really like CMB skillset and his versatility for us, real positive player

It's only 7 games but IMO RJ has been the Raptors most consistent player and I simply don't understand the drumbeat amongst posters and apparently the FO to move on from RJ - I hear that the Raptors can't afford his next contract and he's not a fit on the team - I simply don't agree and move another contract if necessary and let RJ be part of the core - If I'm Ed Rogers I'd tell the FO to keep RJ and move others if necessary.

That’s a very situational lineup that’ll get destroyed most nights. Asking RJ/Ingram to chase guards is a recipe for disaster IMO

I don’t think Ochai is blocking CMB. CMB will be the backup 4/5 with Mamu, and Mogbo the 5th big behind then.

Ochai is in a spot with Dick/Walter/Battle. If we move Ochai, it should actually be for another bigger 3/4 wing or a backup true 5 man.
