Game Thread / Roll Call

Post#2 » by Paradise » Mon Nov 3, 2025 4:25 am

I’m here and I watched how fake this fanbase is on this board. The same fools who wanted to tank hard are running away.

Same morons who was talking up the dream of owning our picks can’t handle the tank for Darryn Peterson, Cameron Boozer or AJ.

We got the T-Wolves at home tonight at 7:00 EST

No Antman and I heard elsewhere no MJP for us.

Jordi took the blame in the post game press conference.

“I’m failing at trying to get my guys to play hard…It starts with me,” Fernández said postgame. “We need to play really hard and play with purpose. And we’re not doing it, so I’m doing something wrong…

“It’s everything. From the lack of attention to the body language. That all goes with energy, and like I said, it starts with me. I’m asking them to play really hard and to play with purpose, and we’re not doing it. So I’m doing something wrong besides the coverages… This group is different than all the groups that I’ve worked with, and we want to create winning habits. And right now, we don’t have them. We’re very far from that. We’re actually on the other side.”
It was the kind of honest admission you don’t often hear from a head coach, particularly six games into a season: calling out the team’s lack of identity and consistency while also accepting accountability and showing vulnerability.

There's just not much to discuss yet... The Tank has been rolling as expected.

I like Egor's long-term prospects, still think Saraf will be a role player at best, Traore is a project who needs G-League time until he physically matures, and the other two rooks just don't have enough tape to comment on (Powell's few plays have been fun)...

We all knew his team was going to be terrible, so it's a bit anticlimactic.

Yeah, there’s not much to discuss

They’re bad and we knew that they would be

Rookies haven’t shown much at all and Jordi is now starting all vets

Dullsville and you can’t expect too much activity while it’s too early to make definitive assessments about anything other than we suck

Not liking Egor? There's bits and pieces I see every game that I like. Like I said, I think there's legitimate long-term potential, so I'm willing to give him 1-2 years until his body matures until I'm overly critical.

Mark me down. Been a nets fan since Keith van horn with the long socks. Paying more attention to college ball to see how these top players are playing. Watching nets games here and there for Egor and the other rooks progress

Not good, Cam Thomas left the game in the first quarter and will not return. Hamstring tightness, which is what he missed a lot of games last season from.

Bad for him, bad for the team as it might lead to some accidental wins like yesterday...

Have watched 7/8 with the win being the one I missed

Sorry guys, my bad

To give you an indication of how little attention I am paying to the season overall, I had forgotten that Hali is injured & Turner is playing elsewhere, didn’t that the Pacers are bad and today was the first time I checked the standings

Yep like were 5 rookies supposed to play 30min. Make them earn their minutes which helps their development.

So no Cam for three to four weeks. Tough break for a guy in a contract year.

Tonight is an in season tournament game against Detroit.

Well, I still follow the team. Was toying with getting League Pass to watch the youngsters but decided not to moreso because I've got other things I need to do. Go Amerks! (my team since 1967!)

I don't know if it's because I'm older and have seen this rodeo before, but I get a kick out of people criticizing the production of young first rounders who have barely played. If we're being honest late first rounders generally don't pan out, and when they do they top out as role players...

Criticizing the Nets for taking Egor when players after him produce is fair game given where he was taken, but the way the media / fans have piled on the Nets for the others is odd... They're milking a headline (oMg! nets ToOk 5 gUYYys in fIRst rOund!) that should have never been a headline to begin with...

Anyway. I liked what Egor showed yesterday, he was a bit more assertive and the passing acumen really showed itself in the pick and roll. I'm really excited to see what his game looks like as he fills out his frame.
