Id argue they're the WORST team in the nba without Giannis.

probably

They just beat the Warriors without Giannis with that Rollins scrub scoring 30+

Anything can happen in a short sample size. This team is asscheeks without Giannis in the long term.

No one actually said that. Like Reeko and Forever said, people just wanted better shot selection. And in truth, he HAS been a lot more focused on going inside, and that explicitly HAS helped his game so far this season...

Um no, we can actually read the comments written about him in other threads. If you want to say that you personally never held that view, fine, but don't tell me no one said it.

Scottie took 5 threes tonight and currently has career high 3pt attempts per game. His three point shooting volume has gone UP. Don't tell me this is what critics were calling for.

I don't know what the percentage will be after tonight's game, but he's in the middle of setting a career-high in proportion of shots inside the RA. Also, even after tonight, he actually isn't has his career-high in 3PA/g. That was 4.9 per game in 2024. After tonight, he's at 4.6 and change. It's close, for sure, but right at the moment, he's shooting well enough that there isn't reason to complain about it.

The thing with Scottie and the 3 was always that he sucked at it apart from 2 months in 2024, so people wanted him to shoot it more judiciously. More from the corner, fewer pull-ups and such. But the broader and more important thing was that people wanted him to be more decisive and aggressive at getting inside, and to finish better in the interior, which he has been doing.

Yeah that’s crazy lol. Kawhi was another level entirely. Kawhi probably could’ve averaged 35 a game if he really chose to.

It's not just wanted to. It's being 100% healthy. How often is Kawhi 100% healthy?

How often is Ingram?

I was one who wanted lower Scottie volume because I assumed he was gonna still suck at it.

Him not sucking at it is obviously entirely different and warrants a different opinion.

A lot of people were suggesting all he needed was the mid range game and to abandon the 3 all together.

They also wanted him to shoot it less. For some, way less.

Yes, thank you. I'm not crazy, this is a thing some people argued on here.

We still don't know if this is real improvement or another streak. He has historically had a good month or two every season of his career, so we'll see. We know he's been unreasonably hot to start over a couple games during a short sample, and that he's subsequently slowed down the last couple games. WE'll see where he is at the end of November, and then beyond. But yes, if he's really going to shoot a competent percentage, his volume isn't any sort of issue. As was always going to be the case.

I honestly do not remember anyone saying he should stop shooting it all together. I remember reduction of volume, emphasis of the corner, stop taking pull-ups and stuff. But that's two of you suggesting it now, so perhaps I missed something. That's quite possible.
