He should get at least Luke Kornet money. Pay him, not Agbaji.

Really like Scottie’s behaviour out there lately. No antics just play and win games. Seems to be working.

I fear you are right, but on the other side, they just hit their open shots. This was so infuriating the last two years, how many open thress they missed.

Not preseason. He played in the preseason like the last two years, that was the problem. Dont take things out of context. And nobody is a hater of scottie, but beeing realistic about him. And i believe everybody is happy that he is playing well and making his 3s.

You know we all can go back and look at those threads right?

I don't know why you're trying to pretend a solid number of people weren't going crazy with the Scotty doom hot takes during the pre season.

Good news is that IQ is a career 42/37/85 shooter who is currently shooting 38/28/77. He's going to improve.

Lots to like so far this year. A few underachieving players and yet still 4-4. IQ is going to pick it up, same with Poeltl. Scottie’s percentages will come down but we know he’s going to be great defensively.

I'm not so sure. His numbers so far don't look particularly better than last season's. I think maybe players his type aren't valued high across the league right now. Could certainly change though.

Great pick up by the FO.

They can only play whoever is in front of them. To become a good team, they first need to start winning the games they should win. The Knicks won 51 games last season but were only 12-19 against teams over .500. Not sure some of you realize that the majority of wins from those 50+ win teams is them beating up on the lesser teams. If we win 44 games and 38 are against teams under .500, would we really care? I mean, I know some of you will still whine about that, but most of us wouldn't care. All wins lead to building confidence and accumulating good habits.

Gotta love BI just strolling in and posting 21/6/4 with a 64 TS% like it's nothing. Only had 13 points but as someone pointed out last night, a few of those buckets were at key points, killing mini Bucks runs. Really love watching this guy play.

I can't say enough about Barnes. Averaging over 3 STOCKS per game is what really stands out to me. Dude is just engaged in every facet of the game. I too was down on him like most, and he has shut us all up so far. Only 8 games but he's posting elite numbers (which will come down).

Shead low-key huge last night also. Just makes winning plays.

Schedule looking really soft here in the next 15 games.

Against the top west teams, agreed. But the East is a historic disaster, only getting worse with injuries, and the Raps have no bad players.

Expect we'll see more games like this.

Plus after 4 pointless years, fake wins are great.

Ingram was fighting a bit too hard for jumpers in this one, which is why his points were a little low. Trent did a good job of standing his ground and then lots of help.

I think the zone threw everyone off, but Scottie came in and got them organized.

IQ was doing well up until a stretch in the early 4th when he played like he had a concussion. An inexplicable rushed fast break 3 with a lead in the 4th, and then a careless turnover on the next possession. It wasn't much longer before Darko put Shead back in. That tells you something about Darko's trust in IQ right now.

Similarly Poeltl was there but not really there. It was nice to see him but he's not in good shape right now.

I did feel bad for Ochai not seeing court time, but I do think it's the right basketball decision. Jakobe's And1 was an example of something he can do that Ochai can't. Give him a game to reset and then bring him back out there against the Hawks.

CMB learned an early lesson on 'there's levels to this' guarding Giannis. Good pull by Darko to get him off him.

Please dont let the win fool you into thinking IQ played well. He was by far the only raptor to suck tonight.

Not only with the poor shooting but he has a tendency to dribble the air out of the ball because he cant blow by anyone in this league lol.

You are just so offbase with this man. The guy was a huge reason why we jumped out on the Bucks to start the game.

Every fanbase says the same **** about their PG and its hilarious

"Dribble the air out of the ball'
"cant blow by anyone"
"gets blown by by everyone"

Seriously he had like the perfect first quarter today. He forced some quick shots the second half but I imagine coaches were telling him to be aggressive

The thing im interested in is the exact reasoning for not playing Battle more minutes

Is it cuz they just want gradey and jakobe to get more minutes?

Is battle injured?

Do they not have faith in battles passing or shot creation ability? Handle not as good as gradey or jakobe?

The Raps schedule to start the year is one of the toughest in the league, so starting 4-4 is solid. The defense is coming around and the offense remains strong. Still think this will be a mid 40ish win team.

And those will be the exact shots when he does hit them will be massive momentum swingers.

I understand the last 2 years have been rough so viewership was down, but it really feels like a lot of people here haven’t watched him play before

Gradey had this game on the heels of my comments about him in the GD thread, lol. But he looked good, very quick and decisive on offense. And of course the 3 was falling, and he was moving well. Good game.

Scottie looked awesome. 3 was falling and he was doing well getting his opportunities and trying to get to the basket. He just looks also more decisive and aggressive. We've seen this before, so I hope it sticks, but for tonight (and really, so far this season), he looked great.

Lots to love about the offense, and the D was better than earlier. Great game.

You will always find one or two exceptions, but when you go back and look, you will see that most takes where about scottie beeing more or less the same like the years before. His two biggest flaws are his shooting and his maturity, and that was adressed in those posts. Now since the start of the season, he has cleaned that up so far.

How where the numbers the last two season? I think they are more valuable to compare to.
