Bring him back please!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We need a third team that is under the salary cap to do the trade and I cannot find one
Also, Deuce would have to be in the trade to make the numbers work.
No way… Deuce should be as close to untradeable as it gets on that contract. We could still make the salaries work in other ways, but the Wolves won’t trade Donte back to us for what we have to offer.. he’s too valuable to them. We’ll just have to wait until he expires unless they don’t wanna lose him for nothing next year..
McBride is a definite keeper. As good as Donte is, to get where the Knicks would want to go by getting Donte, it would be to add Donte to a squad that has Deuce.
Deuce is very close to that "leave him open, he's a knock down 3 shooter", probably the closest on the Knicks. Absolutely the best off the bench.
He's the best point of attack defender, especially of quicker guards
He's really clutch. In a LOT of games, nearly all, it's Deuce making the 3 that ends another team's run. Maybe not Novak level, but it's getting there.
The Knicks just don't have the sized contracts to trade for Donte (assuming the Wolves accept any trade) other than Mitch or Hart and either of those guys is too important to the Knicks.
IF Hukporti was more Mitch than Kyle O'Quinn, then MAYBE Mitch could be expendable, not that the Wolves need him, so pretend 3 team trade.
But again, Huk seems like he'll be decent, but KOQ decent, not the rebounder/intimidator that Mitch is. If the Knicks want to move Mitch they should have found a Mitch replacement and Huk isn't it.
Knicks aren't making any trades this year unless it's bundling Kolek and Dadit and that isn't fetching much.
