It’s simple. There are QBs you win with. There are QBs you win because of. Today Caleb was the latter.

He definitely put that offense on his back in the fourth. Even energized the defense

I say we aim for a blow out next week. Or at least a game that doesn’t come down to the last minute. Hopefully the coaching staff agrees

I keep saying that they can't expect to keep winning games this way... and then they do it again

Also want to give more props to Darnell Wright. He’s been playing great but hasn’t gone against anyone like burns. He proceeded to dominate

He was outplayed by a rookie at home. Rookie who would have won this game, no doubt in my mind had he finished, and this would be a wake today. Yes, Caleb bailed himself out, kudos. After scripted plays, need to see more from the #1 overall

So basically the offense is awesome for initial scripted plays in the 1st quarter and then during 4th quarter comebacks. Imagine if they can fix the 2nd and 3rd quarters.

We must have watched a different game. What I saw was Caleb avoid several sacks, didn’t turn ball over, overcame 5? drops and rallied team to win. Dart was great, but that has nothing to do with Caleb’s performance.

Agree we need to see more, but we’ve already seen improvement and the dropped passes doesn’t help him.

See more? I think we need to adjust expectations. He was brilliant.

He overcame at east 5 dropped passes today. Constantly avoided sacks. Gave up his body multiple times. And he was dynmite (AGAIN) just when he needed to be. Let's also not forget that part of the reason that Dart got knocked out was because of the semi- reckless nature in which he plays the game.

In short, Caleb didn't get outplayed today. He did what winners tend t do and thats finding ways to be better in the moments where you most need to be as a QB.

There are drops every game for every quarterback. There was a lot, but not all those were easy catches and good balls. We do not need to say the same things that we said about Justin Fields. If Caleb played great aside from the drops that would be one thing. But we saw him buffering in the backfield again. That needs to stop. He needs to improve before he is a true franchise quarterback, and that’s the standard.

Whether or not one sees him as a "true" franchise QB is a debatable topic. What I do know is that if he's not one, he's fast approaching. His team is 6-3 and he's a big part of the reason why.

I'd still trade this win for a bulls win last night. Even though 17 vs 82 games.

Caleb has a lot to improve blah blah blah. He's young and far from a finished product.

bottom line, he is coming through when it counts

There are drops every game, but some games more than others and in different situations. And if we’re being fair we adjust our assessment of the QBs performance based on the drops and the context. Caleb was awesome today- hard to come to any other conclusion.

The drops today were infuriating to watch.

Great win. I think our defense needs some work. If we're not getting turnovers, teams drive fairly easily on us the past few weeks.

A win is all that matters though. After starting 0-2, I think everyone would have been ecstatic with 6-3 after 9 games.
