Since game 1 his least efficient performance was a 70%ts 10/15 game vs the pelicans. Literally 1 of 1.

I feel.like this is the first season Jokic actually gets the ball when he has deep position\mismatch, more often than not

Not sure if this has to do with Adelman or what and the Nuggets have mostly played some small teams who play a small ball 5 that really has no chance to contain Jokic

His efficency and touch are second to none, he's almost automatic from close ranges (including floaters etc)

If teams are going to keep conceding those shots to Jokic, he can keep shooting 70% from 2 lol

he isn't real, but in all fairness this was a particularly easy part of the schedule

@ Wolves w\o Ant, Pelicans, @ Blazers (Nuggets lost), Kings, Heat, GSW w\o Curry, Pacers, @ Kings

Blazers and Heat are the only two playoff (likely play-in teams) in that stretch and they lost the PDX game.

I've noted as well that they had any easy schedule. I'm definitely looking forward to how they fare against tougher competition.

If Luka wins, should he say at ceremony "Nico, this one is for you" or "Nico, you are real MVP".

Btw Nico in lose balkan / Slovenian means nobody

Jokic, FG% 84.2, for 35 points, 1.85 points per FGA with just 3 FTA. Rest of the team, 41.8%. for 87 points, 1.29 points per FGA with 24 FTA. Unreal.

I haven't look it up yet, but from watching the game, he should have collected more assists, a lot of open shots created by Jokic that his teammates didn't make.
He may look like an idiot and talk like an idiot but don't let that fool you. He really is an idiot.

1. Wemby
2. Shai
3. Jokic/Giannis
5. Cade/Luka

Soon to include Luka in the top 2. He's carrying an injured play in team. Man is unreal and back to MVP form.

Question...let's say all of the stats and Win/loss records look the same but Luka, Giannis, AD were involved in a trade that sent Giannis to LA and Luka to Milwaukee.

Who would be front runner (or second place) for MVP right now? As I type this I am seeing SHA at +200 and Luka second at +300.

3/4th for Jokic, was not expecting that from you. Proud of you for finally putting him above Josh Giddey in the MVP race

SGA
Jokic/Wemby
Cade
Giannis/Luka

SGA just dusted off the Warriors like they were the Wizards, and is playing Luka H2H, he has a chance to create a healthy distance from everyone else with a win.

Anthony Edwards averages in his last three games, all wins, in 31.2 min:
32.7 pts on 69.6 ts %, 4 ast/2.3 to, 5 reb, 1 stl, 0.7 blk, +23.3.

If we're being honest, Jokic is the Most Valuable Player in the league to his team, just like last season. His On/Off Metrics are insane again so far, just like last season. There isn't a single player more valuable to their team's success than this man. I'd put Wemby and Giannis right behind him, then SGA and Luka behind them.

It's hard to disagree with that, Jokic is an absolute monster. But I honestly think Giannis is probably more important, because the Nuggets still have a solid team outside of Jokic and while they would likely not be a playoff team I think they'd be fighting for the play in. Whereas Milwaukee isn't that good with Giannis doing his Herculean effort every night and without him they're probably the worst team in the league.

I also like to think about how these teams would look without their best player. Nuggets become play in fodder. Spurs become a lottery team. Bucks are in contention for the #1 pick. But OKC? They probably go from a 65 win team to a 50 win team. Lakers with healthy LeBron and Reaves are still a playoff team without Luka.

I’m cool with Luka being top 2- but it’s a lie to say Luka is carrying a play in team when they win just as much without him (which they have done a lot) and ARs stats are as good as Luka’s when Luka is out.

Acting like Luka has been carrying the lakers either means you are not watching or you are a fan and it doesn’t matter what the facts are. AR has been as good or better than Luka when Luka is out and when Luka plays he has AR…

Ayton has been really good and consistent, apparently the lakers are well coached and the other players play well with or without Luka.

The Lakers are a solid team- LUKA has help… the Luka carrying a team narrative isn’t going to fly this year -

The argument for Luka as mvp is easy- he is in shape, playing well for a winning team: period - all other narratives are BS

I think this is the list with one caveat I swap Giannis and Wemby because Wemby is winning more.

If the voters vote right now Wemby wins:.. but if going off merit your list is right right now - with jokic winning and the rest are in the right order.

PSA to the usual suspects, the Lakers won against the Kings and the ANT less Wolves, and a fluke win against POR where they played G leaguers, Nuggets won games w/o Jokic/Murray/Gordon, Bucks just beat the Warriors w/o Giannis, and OKC are the deepest team in history anecdotes don't make a supporting cast.
Lakers have a really subpar supporting cast that doesn't even fit the needs for a supporting cast, they don't have any athletes or defenders on that roster, and this will ultimately be their downfall, unless they can hit 125+ ORTG somehow.

It’s harder to lift a good team than it is to lift a bad team both because you’re having to exceed the quality of a better player and because there’s less room to possibly improve.

Bucks are -10.2 with Giannis on the bench and +9.2 with him on the floor. That’s very difficult but it’s been done many times.

Nuggets are +0.2 with Jokic on the bench and +18.7 with him on the floor. That’s a better point differential than any team has EVER had with their star. He’s basically turning an average team into the best team ever.

And he’s doing it by having the most effect volume scoring season ever while also averaging an assist and a half more per game than anyone else in the league.

Joker’s a marvel. Every time you think he can’t get better he does. Bro might still have the potential to become the GOAT.

The Bucks roster is worse than the Nuggets roster, but the Nuggets are +18.7 with Jokic on the court this year. That's the same net rating as Steph on the 73-win Warriors. He also has a higher +/- than Giannis, and he's shattering the all-time records for all the box score stats (BPM, PER, WS/48)

The race is far from over, but Jokic is the clear MVP through 10 games. His numbers are absolutely mind blowing.

If I were doing a list I’d say:

1. Jokic
2. Giannis
3. Three way tie between SGA, Mitchell, and Wemby

I feel like Mitchell’s getting slept on a bit since the Cavs are a little below expectations after starting the season short-handed, but he’s 5th in the league in BPM and has an incredible +29.3 on/off. Luka being in the top 5 ahead of him is a joke.

It's close, but the Bucks are very close to the Spurs in win/loss & I think Giannis has the worse team and has to carry a higher total load, even if Wemby probably has superior two way impact with his defense being so hyperelite? So yeah, I don't really mind Wemby being ahead, but I also think Giannis is doing more production/overall work with less help, if that makes sense. Wemby can lock in on defense and not worry about carrying the offensive load as much, because Castle is stepping up, Barnes & Johnson has been very efficient, Harper was positive off the bench, Vassell has at least been somewhat hitting threes even if he is a very limited player, Kornet has been very good when he has played..

As for the Bucks its only Rollins who has been a positive over the course of the whole season besides Giannis, and nbarapm still has Rollins as a lesser player than Castle, and I think the last seven games also shows Castle is comfortably the better player, as an elite defender and improving playmaker. So yeah as for the team help the Bucks are worse than the Spurs, so I will still have Giannis above Wemby, but it's close and a couple or just one more elite offensive game might put him over Giannis who has been poor in the clutch (got outplayed by Cooper Flagg).
