Where Walsh has an edge on Minott is he's better at setting screens and thus is a more active around the ball on offense. They have increased Minott's screen setting plays, but Walsh is currently better at doing it.

I'm not referring to his time in Maine. Well, i guess i am lol. Talking this season though. One person told me imagine Grant Williams if he wanted to be an influencer.

Just as a good player can have a bad game, so can a marginal player have good game. But three good games in a row? Seems unlikely. Jordan Walsh has elevated his game. He has been one of the most impactful players for the Celtics in that three game stretch. Keep it up, Jordan!

Marginal players can definitely have 3 good games in a row, especially "role player" kind of good games. I think you're overstating how solidified a player is after that.

But it's better than 3 bad games and he's showing real potential. Hopefully he sticks with it because it'd be a nice little boost for this team to have a real depth option like that defensively.

He's shooting 47% overall, and 44% from 3; plus 4 Rebs. Looks like he has improved his overall Game, save for FT's.

Agreed. Walsh was locking them down; he held tight with JJJ and Maxey. Not to shabby.

Being able to go from lightening quick point guard to one of the better offensive 4's in the league is impressive.

He may only be 6'6, but he measured with a 8'11 standing reach and 7'2 wingspan at the combine and that's nice length even for a PF. He's shown a lot more instinct on defense than he has past seasons as well, has a feel for getting hands on balls.

I've said this other places but my ideal starting lineup next year would be White/Brown/Young Wing/Tatum/Defensive Center. That wing could be any of Walsh, Minott or Hugo. A uy who can take on the lead defensive assignment to let Tatum and Brown relax on defense. Pair that length with a rim protecting center and you could have an insane defense.

He was solid in summer league too..except for that ejection, which Mazzulla loved

Preseason, I feel like he was just ok..SL and preseason don't matter a lot in the grand scheme of things.

I do like they way he's been playing lately. And of course, at age 21, upside to keep getting better.

Seems like the jump shot has gotten smoother and he's gotten more confident with it.
