This yr, we have some younger pieces that have showed promising signs -- Hugo & Walsh & Minott
But still our young talent are not blue chippers. For five years we've barely used the draft... that adds up!
Aside from youth, athleticism and bigs -- we are also missing passing on our team. So many times guys are moving, getting open and the pass never comes.
Brown, Payton, White for their role/position are average or below average passers. Anfernee Simons actually is the only guard I see out there firing passes to Queta & Garza and cutters and I'm like, "Ant Simons shouldn't be the only player who can see a role man and complete a pass to him."
So ... yea...

And AOS for Brad for getting this Lilliput team. We needed size and we got Baylor instead of Fillipoewski, Shulga and Williams instead of Kalk; letting the C dept go and adding Garza (who I like for the effort, but he is so limited on defense it is scary)
No size, no muscle, no athleticism
Joe really blew this game with the rotations and substitutions (Hugo 5 mins +12 - the team is clicking and he gets him out for White...). Play Walsh, Hugo and Minott together. Wreck havoc on defense. Show some resistance on defense. The offense will come
100% agree with above. Brad's roster building through the draft has been really "poor" and Joe is.... well most know what I think.
Hauser- mostly MIA but he was last season too. Open or covered he’s just out there, when his shots don’t fall. Yikes.
White-mostly MIA, but IMO he was overhyped and bad last season. Still think he’s going to figure out soon and be consistently solid. I feel like he lets his shooting get in the way of everything else. Solid is all we need, we don’t need an all star, though it would be nice.
Pritchard- better than MIA, but not a starter, IDC. He’ll be good though, for what it is. It’s not like someone else has been better.
JB- playing about as well as you could, but he’s not a PG or a point forward, he’s not going to turn pumpkins into carriages. Has his bad moments too.
Queta- playing very well, but can’t stop fouling. What more can you expect out of this guy? For me, too early to expect much more. He’s a stats darling from what people post.
These are the only guys who have been here and got plenty of minutes at some point. Queta hasn’t had any crucial minutes and had many DNPs since being here, I didn’t want to include him, but he’s in that category.
The rest of the team is full of guys that have career long DNPs and Simons.
Simons- up and down but he’s on a new team, in a role he hasn’t been in 3 (NBA) years. Even then, he wasn’t counted out for not defending, Por just sent him out there for his scoring. He’ll have a okay-good game, but he’s been bad plenty of times, he doesn’t DESERVE the start more than Pritch who’s done the same up and down routine.
X- bad knee, DNP king
Boucher- not sure why he didn’t get minutes but I guess I like the young guys over him just to see what they have. He’s also a DNP aficionado and low minutes guy, because Tor didn’t want him beating the tank.
Garza- DNP for four years
Minott- DNP for four years
Walsh- DNP for 3 years
Baylor- second year, mostly DNP
Ugo- rookie
I think I’m missing someone… they are so DNP before now that I can’t remember atm. “Sorry to that man!”
Edit: never mind 14 is Tatum. Duh!
