We tried game threads early last year. There was just too much involved in each thread and then a new one everyday for 162 days. It was too much. A few of the other baseball boards did a thread for each 3/4 game series. I like that approach better. It'll keep the board cleaner and series against teams like the Royals won't look so barren. -Jitpal

Yeah, we've been doing game threads.

My personal thought is that we should do individual game threads for bigger games (Sox games, important games, etc.) and series threads for the also-rans (against the Orioles, the other bottom-feeders, etc.). But really we should see how things go for now since we're at the dead point in the MLB year.

Series threads make more sense. 162 game threads will clog the board. If the game warrants a separate thread, then people will post discussion threads during and after the game anyway.

I like that. Maybe we can do single game threads for games against the Red Sox, Mets, Dodgers and any sort of milestone type games or games in which some prized prospect is getting the start in the big league level. Obviously playoff games as well. -Jitpal

One solution to the game threads cloggin the board is to lock those bad boys at the start of the next game.

But series threads seem a good solution as well.
