I dont think many nba fans would call Herb Jones redundant because Walsh and Minott have show brief flashes of being a tier below herb

Herb is a proven NBA starter with ELITE defense 1-3 and the ability to make 3s.

The flashes that Walsh and Mynot have shown will be enough.

Besides, Pels just extended Herb, I don't think they will trade him.

Or the Pels will be asking for a 1st round pick, which Brad won't do.

At this point I’d rather have Walsh or Minott than Herb Jones. He is riddled with injuries and seems like he has peaked already.
Walsh and Minott are both having a better season this year. A couple years back Jones was a great defender, but as much now.

yeah, I loved Herb from draft prep on, but the injuries are just tough. I don't know about peaking, but he hasn't shown the ability to stay healthy. If he ever does, I'm sure he'll bounce back. But, with our current guys, I don't think it's worth the risk. And financially, it just makes more sense to keep the cheap guys.

Herb Jones is a bit foul prone and he averages 4.5 rebounds per 40 over the course of his career. He is not a good shooter and with the exception of last season's small sample size, on/off metrics show that he generally has not had much impact on the Pels' defense.

I don't see the appeal.

Jose Alvarado has been playing his ass off and deserves to play for a better team, and Looney isn't that old and could help us. But the salaries wouldn't match.
