Miami Heat been averaging 106 in pace prior to the last 2 games. Pace is literally a scheme in this offense. Getting teams on their heels is a must for this scheme to work.

We are basically the modern day regular season Sun with the run and gun approach. Unfortunately for us the regular season and playoffs are completely different animals.

Every team is the Nash/D'Antoni Suns. It's all their fault that the league is the way it is now.

If the Knicks beat Milwaukee, they win the group because they beat the Heat. The 2nd tiebreaker for the wild card is point differential. The Heat are at +46. For them to win the wildcard slot:
Between Orlando and Detroit:
Orlando would have to win, then the Heat win the point differential tiebreaker over Detroit. Orlando would have to lose by 13. Then the Heat would win the point differential tiebreaker. If Orlando loses by 12, they would have to score less than 135 for the Heat to win the total points tiebreaker over them.

Between Cleveland and Toronto:
Toronto has already clinched their group. Cleveland is at +33, so they have to lose their last cup game or win by less than 16 points. If they win by 16 points, they have to score 139 points to win that tiebreaker(Not likely).

According to DuckDuckGo's AI, the next tiebreaker is regular season record from the previous season. The Heat wouldn't win that tiebreaker against any of the teams mentioned above. Apparently the next tiebreaker is a drawing.

The last day or two of the cup games are gonna be wild.

It looks like the Heat are gonna clinch at least the wildcard.

So Miami is in 100%.

Yes, because they lost, and also because Orlando won. The Heat still have a chance to win the group.

The wildcard plays Orlando in the 1st round because of the point differential tiebreaker. Orlando and Toronto are both 4-0. Orlando is + 64 and Toronto is +55 in pont differential.

We play them in Orlando Dec 5th regular schedule and then for NBA cup Dec 9 or 10. So two games in ORL in a four or five day stretch. Kings in Miami Dec 6th in between.

Not scared of Orlando at all. Not scared of anyone in the East honestly as long as we play the right lineups.

HOU OKC DEN scare me a bunch.

The greatest shooter in Heat history with the greatest big man in Heat history, it was a sight to behold. Duncan helped propel us to 2 trips to the finals as the only shooter on the roster that could hit shots when it really mattered and give Jimmy and Bam a little bit of space out there. I’m not surprised he’s having a good season next to the playmaking of Cade and a big man in Duren who tries to model his game after Bam
