I have had ATT UVerse forever. I have no qualms about it, except for price. The price goes up every few months. I'm now paying $310./month for cable, internet and a landline.

ATT is getting rid of their landline option and I'm thinking of going to Mint Mobile for Internet. I have had Mint for my cell plan for almost two years and I love it and save a lot. Now they are offering internet at a big cost savings.

So should I give up UVerse? I have to have a recording option and I watch sports, so I need ESPN, Fox Sports, Big 10, Fanduel. I need the three networks for my wife and sometimes watch cable news.

Is YTTV the way to go? Thanks in advance.

I love YTTV and it's $90 a month but does not have Fan Duel. You'd have to get that separately at about $20 a month. I believe DirecTv streaming does have Fan Duel included. Some here have that and can speak to it. All the other channels you mentioned are available on both along with unlimited recording.

I'm not familiar with Mint Mobile internet, hopefully it has enough speed for streaming.

I had U-verse for a long time. You used to be able to negotiate a lower price every year but they are phasing it out and no longer do that. Good idea to move on.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Thank MD. Very helpful. I may end up getting Peacock for badger games for $49 a year. I just got Netflix after using someone elses for years.

I was wondering if anyone has heard of or use NUFU tv? A guy I work with told me about it. I told him it sounded illegal, but he said they have a legitimate app in the app store, so it is legal. I looked online and get conflicting information. Anyone have any experience?

I just got off the phone with ATT. They tried selling Direct TV to me and said I would get a lot more with Direct TV than UVerse. They must really want people like me who are grandfathered, to leave UVerse.
Direct TV has 4 different plans which I'll have to check out. I just don't want to have to change every few months chasing the best deal. I need consistency, which UVerse gave, but at an increasing and unsustainable cost.

I believe HumanRefutation has DirecTV. Send him a PM in case he doesn't see this. He should be able to answer your questions.

Streaming prices do go up eventually for all services. But the nice thing is it's simple to switch if you want to. No equipment. I believe DirecTv is the only streaming service with FanDuel right now. I believe in the next year or two the Bucks and Brewers will be off FD and doing their own thing. We'll see.

We have had DirecTV Stream (think they dropped Stream name) for 4-5 years and love it. It has everything we want/need BUT its not going to be your cheapest option of I had to guess. We started at 89.99/month and think its up to 129.99 for our plan. But I do get FanDuel and now ESPN Unlimited is included.

Thanks. This is helpful. I don't mind paying. But my last bill from att was 320 or close to it. That included landline and wifi but any savings is better than nothing. When I called yesterday att did give me $15. off a month but that will be short-lived, as it always is.

This is my lineup…

DirecTV (Stream) = 125.99/month. Ultimate package because wanted NHL Network but Choice would save me $20/month maybe. I did negotiate unlimited DVR and $15/off for 12 months.

ESPN Unlimited is included with DirecTV above. I like it as is essentially the NHL league pass.

Netflix (ads) 7.99/month

Peacock (ads) 2.99/month through June. Cancelled after annual and was offered 2.99/month for 6 months.

Paramount+ (ads) FREE with Walmart+ which get for $49/year with AMEX offer. You can also choose Peacock with Walmart+

Amazon Video FREE through Prime.

AppleTV I only take when get free offer. Venmo, Best Buy often offer free months.

NFL+ with Red Zone $59.99/year with Packers Season Ticket Holder discount.

MLBTV full package $74.99/year with MLBPAA membership which is $25/year.

We dropped HBO Max. I could get it for $74/year via AMEX offer.

Disney+ we dropped but signed back up for $1.00/month for 3 months via AMEX offer. I saw someone say they get this free via DirecTV but think it requires signing up for their Gemini Air device…?

DirecTV is my biggest bill but as mentioned we really like it.

I'm spoiled with 4K so I have the premium Netflix and Max plans to get that. I could save quite a bit if I dropped down and had ads. Same with Paramount. Something I'll think about in the new year. I should probably just do the signup/binge/cancel route with rotating services.

Anyway to justify spending more on TV services. Nevermind the yearly Prime price, haha!

It's a great deal - you get free shipping with your streaming service, and free streaming with your shipping service.

Is FanDuel Sports Network what I want for streaming a decent number of Bucks games within Wisconsin?

Yes. Virtually every game is on Fan Duel. Only national games are not. Most cable systems carry it, DirecTV streaming carries it and FD has a stand alone app. Some have reported issues with the app. Personally I have had zero issues with it.

It’s gotten better. Towards the end of the Brewers season every game the audio and video were out of sync, nothing would fix it. Bucks games have been fine, aside from you know, the actual Bucks games…

You can also get a FD subscription through Amazon Prime (instead of directly from FD), if you have Prime. Then you can use the Prime app to stream instead of the FD app.
