Which ones did you order? I built my new PC and kept my old 1440p 144hz monitors.

Not a deep sale, but a solid price for what seems like one of the best 27", 4K, IPS monitors - not a very big market as everyone moves to OLED. Just not a realistic option for me for how much work I do on them (static elements for up to 10h daily).

I just randomly decided that I wanted my new build to feel new from the display, too. I like my current monitors but it would have felt anticlimactic to hook a new $2,400 rig up to 9 year old monitors. At least...that's how I convinced myself :D

I really liked having completely bottled stories and a mute protagonist is a big departure. Also, I know this is a largely a a port of a mobile game, but they should have polished up the character models. They're so much uglier than 1 or 2.

I was kinda meh on the demo. The bottled stories are fine from 1/2, but I didn't like how little companion interactivity there was. What's the experience been like with that so far?

The interconnectivity seems better and more natural so far. Apparently there's something like 30+ characters you can end up recruiting.

Weather being what it is this weekend I'm sure I'm gonna play the absolute hell out of it while football is on. I may end up just wanting to go back and playing the original games again.

When I got past the first part of the prologue I really liked it. Then I couldn't stop thinking about it while I played other things, so I picked it up and have loved it so far. Focused on building the town so far and just general exploring; just level 10. But I left it on all morning while doing other things just to listen to the incredible music.

I made the jump to a 42" LG C4 OLED TV that's great as a monitor. Was worried it'd be too big but I actually love it. The only thing that annoys me is how often it has to clean pixels which takes 5 minutes. I still rock my 2k 27" vertically on each side.

I did the Power storyline first and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, I may have loved it...too much? I did the whole thing and was disappointed to see that Wealth and Fame did not scale in level. I'm absolutely demolishing the battles and it feels dull as a result. To my understanding there's a severe difficulty spike once you get through each of the three "intros," but it can't come soon enough now.

Once I started cruising threw the intro chapters I started doing some farming, hunting the harder enemies, and recruiting whoever was available while filling out the farm. But I finished Master of Fame last night and was legitimately surprised in a good way. Just about done with Wealth and Power and looking forward to some more build crafting options opening up.

Good game.

100% good game, having a great time and loving the stories - in a surprising way, too, like you said. JRPG goodness.

If it's actually a remake, I'm in. If it's a remaster we're calling a remake, probably not in.
