Nope. Like the Trae young situation, let some other team bail them out not us.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Yeah, the problem is that we see him off the court too much.

He went 10-20 for 21 points with a -6 against Markannen and 50 year old Kevin Love. Markkanen went off for 33. Not sure what we’re supposed to be impressed by.

Jerry Lucas wrote:The entire notion that AD is getting an immediate extension with his acquiring team like other Pre-Agency situations is a farce. The acquiring team has until he's extension eligible in the offseason to decide for sure whether they want to extend him or not.

We all know he's not extension eligible until August. The issue is if there is a handshake deal and the team reneges on it, have fun going to war with Rich Paul. He will immediately ask out.

i'd take the risk on AD cuz he actually plays both sides of the game. we only need him to fill the game for the next 3 years.

He's replacing Poeltl, who plays even less games than AD.

He does?

Yak->AD
21->18
57->51
50->76 *
72->56
68->40
69->36
66->62
77->56
82->75

So 9 years and AD has played more games 1 year. So...guess you are wrong.

Meant to add last 3 years. I believe Poeltl 172, AD 176 or something like that.

But anyways. Seems some steam/rumors popping up nowadays. Seems there is interest for AD, who’s now probably in the realm of “the Raps can probably trade for him now” that his value is at his lowest.

I think we can both agree that both have been injury prone as of late. I’m open to getting AD seeing how it plays out when he’s healthy. The less exciting prospect is seeing the steady presence of Poeltl back on the court

I’d be pretty amused to see the fallout of this forum like when Derozan got traded if this trade does go through.

I know JLew has some connects at MLSE but I even I find this hard to believe this is the “floor” of the trade. No way Bobby is that desperate to make this trade.

I was all for trading RJ, BEFORE the season started. He fits like a glove with Ingram/Barnes, I'm not moving him for the dude who's made of glass.

The RJ slander/Value perception needs to change IMO.

RJ+Yak doesn't get it done salary-wise. Would need to add Gradey or Ochai and someone on a minimum like Exum. Or just make it Yak+IQ. In either case Mavs would need to waive players. Don't see a deal happening unless the Mavs really like one of our longterm deals

As much as I like the potential of AD being on the Raptors, this is another example of why the lemon isn't worth the squeeze. What the Raptors would have to give up just to get a guy that could fall over due to seeing his breath in the cold weather, just isn't worth it. Those pieces would be better allocated to a player that will consistently play for the Raptors and CONTRIBUTE!

RJ is far from untouchable, but I sure as hell wouldn't trade him for a broken down AD.

This would be a Colangelo-esque move. Don't trade a burgeoning player for a consistently injured star in their twilight.

I see why it is worrh the risk becsuse the East is weak this year but i think this gives yall a better chance over the next 2 years over your current set up. You guys arent bottoming out so it is a chance to get star talent around Scottie.

Come on people. We do this every time. The Raptors beat reporters have no inside information. They only get spoon-fed stuff after the fact for damage control and rehabilitation articles (and those mainly go to Grange and Smith). Do you really think they're giving the "hot mic" reporter any insider info?

The sad thing would be the RJ trade would only happen because they have handcuffed themselves financially, & couldn't get off other contracts. He would be the sacrificial lamb.......only to save money.

Zero benefit to the fans. Just Rogers not wanting to pay a good player because of bad roster management.

If Dallas couldn't get a first round pick back when sending out Luka...don't be expecting any first round picks in exchange for AD.

Lewenberg is a door knob if he thinks that is start of trade talks.
