Darryn is easily tier 1 for me and been so with Boozer and AJ. But I feel safer taking Acuff, Wagler, Wilson, who are tier 2 over him and definitely more comfortable with Boozer and AJ.

Someone here said he got Kawhi mentality. That couldn't be more true. The good and the bad of Kawhi's personality.

I wouldn't take him if I am these tanking teams or I have a strong culture outside of the Spurs of course. Spurs would love Peterson to a degree.

For me, it's 5 teams that make sense.
Hawks
Bucks with Giannis
Bulls
Blazers
Clippers

Hell naw for Washington, Brooklyn, Kings, Grizzlies, Warriors, Mavs, and Heat.

Maybe for Pacers, Jazz, Mavs, and Hornets.

Teams generally take the best talent and believe they can work with any potential issues. DP will go top 3 unless his medical evals are red flags or something very surprising comes up. Period.

Bryson Tiller will eventually be in the NBA as well as a skilled big man- probably will be a top player for Kansas next year.

Even Melvin Council will probably be a 2way guy or apart of the NBA in some fashion in the next few years.

The debate that Kansas has no talent is a poor one to make.

I see a lot of maybe.

That's not NBA talent.

Darryn Peterson is NBA talent.

Caleb Wilson is NBA talent.

A potential 2 way player that is a senior is not NBA talent.

If that is the threshold.
UNC had no talent around Caleb Wilson, yet people aren't making 100 excuses for him.
Same with Dynbantsa.

This

Kansas has far more talent than UNC, and Kansas has a far better coach than UNC.

UNC arguably has the worst coach in P5. Caleb is 100% held back by his team.

If true…frightening experience for the young man. It shouldn’t be held against him.

But as an NBA team, I’d like to see the receipts.

The draft is actually not that great, so even with the question marks teams are still going to take him high. Pretty much a non-story as long as he is willing to do 1-2 workouts and jump around at the combine for 10 mins.

If this is true (obviously need to consult multiple experts) then if he’s moving like he Peterson now, I’d take him #1 easily

I would still take AJ 1, but if this was a legitimate medical issue that was solved that is great news for this draft and for Peterson.

If this was the case.. they wouldve pinpointed that day 1 after any 5min convo of the supplements he's taking. This is an absolutely ridiculous assertion

This Peterson situation is starting to remind of Markell Fultz

If he went to the hospital, there will be medical records. By declaring for the draft, do prospects have to grant full access to their medical history? HIPAA waiver?

Yes, prospects must provide their medical records. I believe this was established in the 23-24 CBA.

While this is common with creatine overuse I don't for a second believe it affected him the whole season. It probably happened once and he proceeded to use it as an excuse to coast through much of the season. I think scouts and G.M.s know the score and why he was doing it and won't hold it against him. He's still in play at #1 like he always was.
Foes..you DO realize I don't see your posts....right?

It's not creatine causing cramps directly. Dehydration causes cramps, creatine can cause dehydration if you don't drink the appropriate amount of water with it. And if you overdose creatine, it'll be quite difficult to drink the appropriate amount of water.

Creatine cramping is bro science with much literature consensus, but any Kansas sports medicine team doctor would have singled this out regardless. Cramps -> what are you taking/hydration, that's the first question.

When there is smoke, there is fire. This is starting to smell really bad with Peterson camp front running this. I had forgotten about them cramps until he brought it up again. Teams must be poking around his cramping issue right now.

I mean, duh? Of course they are? It was a stroyline all season, of course they're going to find out what they can about it.

Why was he taking so much? To train harder and longer, trying to add muscle?
