Who are the 7 all-stars in 2026?

Post#1 » by babyjax13 » Thu Jun 18, 2026 8:21 pm

Replicating this from 2023 and 2024 (forgot to do it in 2025)

Replicating this from last year to see who people are high on and whether some guys may be undermocked. Also quoting another post that shows the history of all-stars in the draft. Who are the 7 all-stars in 2026?

Pick ---
4 guys you think will go lottery (at least one needs to not be top 4)
2 guys you think won't go lottery (1 being a 2nd rounder)
1 other player

Picking these guys doesn't mean you think all 7 will be all-stars but it might help people identify some interesting guys. Let's assume that this is a "great" draft (since it is so good up top) and go for 7 all-stars instead of the 6 we have done before.

babyjax13 wrote:I've been going through a bunch of drafts just to see how many all-stars good/great drafts typically produce. It seems like very good drafts produce 5-6 all-stars, and great/outlier drafts, 7-10. Obviously, the quality of these all-stars matters for strength, too, but let's just assume this is a very good draft that produces 6 all-stars, and use 2014 as a model. That means:

Lottery (ish): 4 all-stars
After the lottery: 2 all-stars (at least 1 in the second round)

Based on your current projections, who are your 4 lottery picks who become all-stars, and who are your two non-lottery players (including 1-second rounder)?

Lottery:
1. AJ Dybantsa
2. Darryn Peterson
3. Cameron Boozer
4. Nate Ament

Non-lottery:
5. Sergio De Larrea
The case | he is 6-7, can dribble, pass, and shoot.
6. Seth Trimble
The case | increased spacing makes his athletecism more valuable, he becomes a disruptive defender at the NBA level and provides secondary scoring and playmaking. Realistically I think he is somewhere in the Ray'jon Tucker to Shannon Brown range. Also thought about Quadir Copeland as my second round guy since he is 6-7, can dribble, and pass, but I don't have a ton of confidence in the shot.

Bonus:
7. Caleb Wilson (I know, obvious pick is obvious)

Honestly, outside of the lottery is really hard to find players that I clearly feel this way about. Hannes Steingbach, Cam Carr and LeBaron Philon are the others I thought about, but ultimately I think they will be late lottery, which is why I did not pick them.

Lotto guys:

1. Boozer - my #1 prospect, all-nba type
2. Dybantsa - box score impact and all star seems super likely - advanced stats impact maybe not ala Jaylen or Paolo?
3. Philon - My favourite of all the guards... wanted him to be my non-lotto pick but realistically I think he goes between 8-14
4. Wagler - Work ethic and character pick - plus picking DP seemed boring ;)

Non-Lotto:

5. Anderson - could be shooting 40% on 10 3PA a game one day! probably not but you know - non-lotto
6. Steinbach(?) - might go lottery, should put up decent box scores one day

Other:

7. Morez Johnson - I think he goes #12 to OKC and ends up a starting quality of player for a long time

I think Anderson is a really good call for a post-lottery player.

Team fit and opportunity are going to matter a lot for this convo in my opinion.
Also, guys drafted in the East are probably at an advantage if history continues.

Just came here to say, not to be a buzz kill, but shouldn’t we wait till after the draft to make our picks?

I'm only confident in 3 guys becoming all-stars. Dybantsa, Boozer and Philon. I think a few other guys could get there, but it may not be for 5-6 years like Avdija (thinking about Wagler/Meleek/Lopez).

If people want to do theirs after the draft, or post a second list after the draft, that is fine : ) this is just meant to be fun!

Peterson (99% Lock)
Acuff (99% Lock)
AJ (80% Lock)
Boozer (70% Lock)

Non Lotto: Christian Anderson (10%) / Meleek Thomas (10%)

The amount of actually 99% locks to be all stars are very few, and names like Lebron and Wemby, not Peterson and Acuff.

Anderson/Philon as guys who might go just out of the lottery and I think have the potential.

Onyenso the 2nd rounder I think has a shot (at the impact of an all-star, less likely to actually make it due to role)
I bought a boat.

From my most recent mock draft on my site.

Four lottery guys

Top 4 - Boozer, Dybanta, Peterson. I know, lazy take. But I try can't be Twitter-level outlandish. There's a reason 1/3 of the league tanked for these three guys. They all look special in their own way.

Outside of the top 10 - Hannes Steinbach. He's being mocked after all three Michigan bigs, and I'm not sure why. Not a real defender, but he has 18/10 potential.

Outside Lottery - Meleek Thomas, Christian Anderson. I would have Philon here, but he's right on that lottery edge, so I will go with two scoring guards who won't be lottery picks. Thomas has starting potential as a two guard, that position is pretty thin in the NBA. Anderson could have a Tyrese Maxey-like rise. I'm not calling him Maxey at all, but if he ends up as a starting point guard one day, I won't be surprised.

Second Round - Oh man, this one is tough LOL. I'll go with a true second round senior, instead of De Larrea or Kayil, since either one of those guys could go at the end of the first round. I'll go with Ryan Conwell. Again, it's not that difficult to find shooting guards in the second round. Probably the easiest position to fill. Your typical 3 and D guy, who could end up starting some games here and there.
