Let it out bro, let it out.

I like John Mayer too.

But I am more of an Iron & Wine fan for this occasion.

I think this has been mentioned in the past but that "Little Cubs Field" in Freeport, Illinois opened today.

FREEPORT - The widow of Hall of Fame broadcaster Harry Caray and the owner of the Peoria Chiefs were on hand in Freeport to open Little Cubs Field, a miniature replica of Wrigley Field.

Opening-day activities Monday included a ribbon cutting and Little League game.

Dutchie Caray calls the ballpark "adorable." She says the kids who will play there are very lucky.

Mike Lehnherr is vice president of the Freeport Little League. He tells The (Freeport) Journal-Standard the new field will be an asset for the northern Illinois city and will help attract tournaments.

haha man its the funniest sh^+ though. I have been with her for 14 months and lately we have kinda been fighting about how she wants to get married. Her sisters are married and thats her only incentive. I have a ton of money saved up, but I have a good 1.5 yrs left of school and I wouldnt even consider it. So anyway she comes with an ultimatum that I need to marry her or were done, thinking that I would cave and not wanna lose her. Lately Ive just been thinking I love her, but not in love and I don't wanna end up contributing to the 50% of divorces. So I told her the love, but not in love speech and then we argued/talked for 3hrs and in the end she was shocked that I said "then leave me". And she is probably gonna beg me to take her back, but in all honesty Im kinda getting sick of this sh^t.

ohhhh yuck. You don't want a girl that pushed you into that. Hopefully she'll realize that, but if not o'well.

I'm guessing the Persian culture is very traditional and encourages marraiges early. I'm not a big fan of it, but I'm sure she's been brain washed by that, besides the fact that her sisters are both married.

Its wierd 'cause now that my girl and I are coming to that point she barely talks bout it anymore. I love that. Before she would bring it up, but we both knew it was nowhere in site. I'll be done with my desgin degree in about 6 months and reality is really hitting. :-? I don't even get scared about moving in, buying things together, heck, we even merged a couple accounts together, but marriage just seems like a huge thing.

You did the right thing by not letting your hand get forced, and if she's a girl that was meant to work it, she'll realize that.

Those places you posted are alright, but two of them aren't even in Ann Arbor.

the one for sale is in Pickney, which is ~15 minutes away (you don't want to live there - not bad, but po'dunk)

the first rental is in Ann Arbor, but over more on the secluded (rich) side. so the area is nice but there isn't a whole lot around you (stores/transportation/attractions/etc).

the second rental is in Novi, which is ~15-20 minutes away (pretentious snobs unite in Novi!)

third one looks good, thats central A2 area probably 1-2 miles away from me

I would advise against buying a house/condo around here for now. the rates figure to continue to go down before they go up (my guess is 5 years). so rent, see how you like the area, and then think about buying. hell, the house you end up renting might even have purchasing options...many of them do for the right price.

Yikes! I figured we'd pick something in a not-so-right area!

My Momma always told me, "It's probably too good to be true!"

You have any recommendations on an area? Maybe some rough boundaries?

I'm sure Ann Arbor is like any other city where you'll have your patches here and there, but my g/f doesn't want to end up living in the house from Old Skool, if you get my drift.

She knows I'll be too tempted to mingle with the college folk and turn into Frank the Tank!

You could use this address as a reference point:

2850 S. Industrial Hwy
Ann Arbor, MI 48104

thats a pretty central location, and you can use it as a starting/ending point in mapquest to see really where you're at. depending on how much driving (or not) you want to do, I'd try to stay within a 5-10mi radius of that address.

you can generally tell by the posting if its more geared towards students or not. there are plenty of places CLOSE to the U, but that aren't overrun by the current crop of college kids.

a few more questions. :-?

How are the Golf courses around there? Don't know if you're a golfer, but my g/f and her Father are big golfer, and I know I'll have to golf to get in with the Pops-in-law.

I see there is Geargetown Golf course right by the address you posted, so I figured I'd ask.

He lives in Indiana right over the border, is retired, and would probably be coming out a lot if we did end up living there.

BTW, the address you provided... is that a shopping center?

The address I posted may or may not be the corporate park I work in.

Briarwood Mall is right down the street, and yeah, there are golf courses GALORE around here. I think that Georgetown one is open to the public even, then there's another huge one right across the street from the Big House. Hell, my girlfriend works at Barton Hills Country Club, the site of yet another golf course!

Getting to Ann Arbor from Indiana/Illinois is ridiculously easy because 94 runs all the way through, so all you have to do is get on 94-E and zone out for 4 hours.

My friend has been on the phone with me for a good 45 minutes trying to convince me to buy the darn thing.

I know it got a 10 on IGN and gamespot. A freakin' 10, thats just ridiculous.

I've never been a GTA person before, but it really is proving to be the quintessential 360 game...a must-have for owners, ya know?

The MP modes sound fantastic. I think there are 15 different kinds of MP, the most intriguing mode being "Cops & Robbers," I know I played a lot of that when I was a little kid with plastic guns.

But yeah, I know a guy who got $100 gift card from Best Buy because he unfortunately went in on HD-DVD, and bought a couple HD-DVD players. After it was clear HD-DVD was dead, BB offered $50 per player gift cards. In the end, I ended up paying $85 for a $100 gift card.

If you grab it, we can definitely fool around with it on Live. Mind you, the Hornets are on at 7EST. 8)

Yeah I gotta go grab it, I'll let you play now, as I'm sure you just rushed to the Xbox to play it.

Let me know how it is. I've heard great great things about the MP mode.

Its more mormon culture man, I meet more divorced 23 yr olds here then anywhere else. Or divorced 21 yr olds with 2 kids. A lot of people get married here at 18. My girl was a vanilla mormon, she wasnt active or practicing. She hates mormonism and then tried to act like one all of a sudden and I pretty much will have no part of that religion, and I know her parents hate me cuz Im not mormon. I kinda feel bad right not cuz I said some mean stuff last night. haha I told her if she wants to get married so bad she can go to one of those mormon single dances and find a nice Return Missionary, just dont tell them your not a virgin anymore. Yeah I wouldnt be dating persian women, tried that yrs ago way too much drama. I really hate there and persian culture to an extent because it calls for really submissive women, and for me if I ever get married Id want a wife, not a butler.

Its all good I just got back from the gym and Im about to pop GTAIV in the ol 360 and play till the Jazz game.
