Still, how can you not predict that they will do anything other than rebound with a vengeance.......at least against us tonight.

Rondo is the reason they are so good. ARENAS for RONDO!

Don't be so hasty. Maybe we can get them to include Scalabrini in the deal.

Vegas knows something. You'd figure at best the Celts would be 7-8 pt favorites considering we just beat them by 7 two days ago. Nope, instead the line opened at 12.5 and is currently around 11.5. Vegas wants to suck people into betting on the Wizards because they know that the Celtics are going to blow them out.

The Beantown hoops squad sports the green,
Their Big Three should sweep the league clean,
Old School Celts proud of Hondo,
Now they're crying 'bout Rondo,
When he's out, PG pickings are lean.

When Rondo doesn't play, puppy dogs, kittens, and cute polar bear cubs die.

Not playing? Say it isn't so, Rondo. Say it isn't so!

P.S. Who is this Arenas fellow? Perhaps he can, if he practices really hard, someday aspire to carry Rondo's jock. In the interim, maybe the Wizards could keep him on the roster and, in time, he could find a couple of minutes per game on the court behind Nick Young.

I think people are going to discount Saturday somewhat, which they should. Both teams on a back-to-back, Celts on the road, Wizards highly motivated.

For tonight, I would expect the Celtics to come back very strong with a days rest, and the Wizards to let down a bit having taken one of two from the best team in the league. So 11-12 to me is a reasonable line.

Does this line differ much from what the Celtics are generally giving at home to middle-tier EC teams like Toronto, NJ, etc.?

If you consider all factors, it should be 83.

Me thinks someone is getting cocky. Hmrm?

Seriously, how is Ray Allen going to stop DeShawn Stevenson? :nonono:

Gametime decision. The C's could really use him tonight though. The Wiz have been impressive lately. They may have a chance at the Division title if they keep playing so well.

Have a good one guys and Good Luck against the other nba teams.

Lines are not made that way. Lines are made so that equal amounts of money are bet on both teams and then the book is guaranteed to make money because of the vigorish. The last thing a book wants to do is have all the money on one team, sucker bet or not, because then they possibly could lose big. The book doesn't care who wins as long as they do.

What about Big Baby, is he out again tonight? Dude does serious damage in the post; I can see him exhausting AB with his 300 pounds of muscle, and racking up big rebound numbers.

If they keep playing well, they'll have more than a chance at the div title.
I don't think ORL can keep winning road games at the rate they have been.
Last year they did the same thing, fast start and then petered out.
Not counting chickens yet but it looks hopeful. Who would have guessed
MIA would be this horrible. ATL should not be ignored in the discussion
either. They're at least respectable and getting better.

I think it's gonna be a tough one fellas. Although I do see Tawn and CB3 playing a lot better.

It's either a close win by us, or a blowout win for them.

I'm almost inclined to bet the farm on the Celt's....but whenever games like this appear we somehow win. Now i'm just confused.

Go Wiz!

Win tonight and maybe a TV channel or website or two will actually know who our team is. And hopefully Bill Simmons will be courtside.

I'm confused didn't we just beat them. Is there a second chance for boston in the nba rule book or something?

They are done, those old men they traded for are tried and worn down.

Baby played in limited minutes in the last game so he'll probably play tonight. Unless of course there's an All You Can Eat restaurant in the area. If that's the case we may never see Baby again.

This is the kind of game I like to watch...no stress. I will be estactic if the Wiz win, but I will not be disappointed if they lose, especially after Saturday night.

Pathetic effort there that cost us 2 points. Still waiting for Caron and/or AJ to do anything offensively.

Never knew Pierce was such a good defender.
