Bibby's not the direction we need to be headed anymore. And a UD+KT swap means Artest is coming back or we're hanging up abruptly. We'll probably go toiletpaper Petrie's house too.

Replacing Haslem/JWill with Bibby/KT probably doesnt make a team much better at all, much less "saving their season".

If the Kings want/expect quite this much for Bibby, theyd do well to just keep him.

That's fine and dandy, but when it comes down to the rubber meeting the road, he's too good of a player to not bounce back from 'thumb/wrist' injuries. These aren't knees/ankles/backs....they're wrist's and thumb's. He's 29 fully in the midst of his prime. Could he take a few weeks to bounce back, Sure, but then, you got yourself a top level PG on the relative cheap that had he not been injured, you wouldn't get any other way.
And guess what you shoot with?

Healed thumb injuries don't effect your shot like knee/ankles/back effect a player's athleticism.

And yet, I'm still not willing to pay the price you're demanding. He's not worth it to us. Send him to a contender. We aren't. Our expirings need to be used for players that will help us down the line, and younger players like Haslem shouldn't be included...

I've watched a few Heat games this year (5-6) both pre/post wade injury games. THe heat need a Great floor general and there's no reason that the heat couldn't make a strong run to the playoffs. Sure they may be a 7th/8th seed, but they're IN and the rest is up in the air at that point. Injuries, hot streaks, match-ups determine who wins the series and I think that heat team would be a top 3 team overall in the EC with Bibby.

IMO if you guys have Wade/Riley, you guys will have a shot at the title...Look at LBJ's Cavs. It's only him and a bunch of role players.... You guys IMO are hard on your team, you need role players...Too bad you guys lost Kapono and Posey...

If you pair Bibby with Wade/Riley and add good role players by MLE, FA, trade or etc...You guys are going to be successfully...

Probably its too late this season but for next season you guys have a chance to do this IMO...

Nope.

We ain't winning a thing with Kenny Thomas as our power forward, nor are we willing to give Haslem up for Mike freaking Bibby. Please, accept it. You've been told now by just about everyone in this thread...

The thing is...1) He's a good fit talent-wise to the Heat, and 2) It's reported constantly that Riles in interesting in obtaining Bibby.

I can see why you are not interested, but the fact is, where there is smoke there is fire and your management has interest.

Yes, but it's also been reported that Haslem is not part of the package, and neither is a first rounder. Also, circumstances change. They clearly have for Miami...

I agree things have changed, but you still hear these reports like today for instance.

Where they said we weren't giving up Haslem. Yes. You're correct. We're not giving up Haslem for Bibby. Accept it and deal accordingly.

That's why we always need a 3rd team but even that those are not really successful....

Correct, but that's because certain folks really really really over value Mike Bibby...

The same thing could be said about certain people really really really really over valuing Udonis Haslem as well.

Eh, it's best to see how Bibby plays in during this week. If we see he is playing at his usual top 10 PG status...Teams like Heats/Cavs are going to regret that they could have gotten Bibby for relevantly cheap IMO....

This isn't me overvaluing Udonis, mind you, this is Riley's thing. Remember, you're the dude talking about smoke leading to fire. Well, Riley's sending out some smoke signals. H-A-S-L-E-M I-S N-O-T O-N T-H-E T-A-B-L-E. By your standards, that should tell you everything you need to know...

The difference?

Haslem is overrated by Heat fans, but they will admit to it.

"Hes more valuable to us than he would be to you"

"He's the perfect fit next to Shaq at PF"

"Expect to overpay, we like Haslem, and dont want to deal him"

Just a few responses I'd expect regarding Haslem. They KNOW hes overrated by them, and they are FINE with keeping their overrated player.

He brings intangibles, and is at the moment, the heats 3rd most valuable trade piece, you expect them to deal him for an INJURIED Mike Bibby!?!
