This injury might be a blessing in disguise. There's no doubt we'll be making the playoffs, and even w/o Bynum (we were winning when he was only getting 15MPG earlier in the season) I think we'll still land a decent middle seed.

Anyway, this injury will give Kwame more opportunity to get back into the swing of the offense (we're going to need him to be at a high level when it comes play off time) .. Bynum's dominance was making it almost impossible to give Brown any significant minutes. Now Brown will be re-motivated to take full advantage of this opportunity and earn a decent contract next season. This will make him a better player, thus making us a better team.

Also, I disagree with the poster that said Kupchak has a chance to show he knows what he's doing. No GM (none) should ever be judged by an untimely injury to a player with virtually no injury history. And Kupchak would be stupid to blow up the team that was dominating the league because one player is down for a few months.

Well you are entitled to your opinion, but I just don't think Kwame is a DPOY caliber player nor can he be relied upon to dunk on the final seconds of a close game versus a sub .500 team. Only thing I have against Big Ben is his contract, but then again we were 10 of 11 without the 2 players I mentioned previously. Scoring was never the problem. It was the defense. Just like I've seen other posters on here, it is ideal to win games by a 100-90 margin. We can be offensively stacked like the Suns or be defensively stacked like the Spurs, Pistons, and Celtics. I'm just trying to hope for a playoff run for the upcoming years because defense wins championships.

Which god? The Christian one? The Muslim one? The "energy" one?

Just curious...

Wow!
Just a perfect birthday gift for me.
I get tickets to Thursdays game behind Kareem and the bench.
I get media passes to the locker room due to hook ups.
And now, Bynum is out, and Kwame "Klutz" Brown takes his place.

Shaq's injury in 97. Bynum will miss the same number of games that Shaq did despite Shaq damaging multiple structures w/in his knee, including a ligament or two. WTF.

Kwame sucks, did u see him miss layups and dunks yesturday, d2mmit we're screw, expect us to go in a losing streak. Most teams got better this year, we're not good unless we have a 1-2 punch, n don't expect Odom to step up, he never does. Only hope is for Kobe to go superman mode and at least get us 50/50 wins. ahHHH so pissed!

No one was doing jack yesturday when Bynum was out, except Kobe. We're a 50/50 team without Bynum. And I wanted to see us kick a cr2p out of the Suns on Thursday, now it looks like we are gonna get the cr2p kicked out of us. :banghead:

Hey don't be picky, we have Kwame starting Webber even though slow is a major upgrade, at least he can make layups.

Bynum's injury could be a blessing in disguise if we pick up C-Webb. I was really impressed with him in Detroit and I know he would fit our offense very well. It sucks that Bynum is out but if we can C-Webb and get him up and running then when Bynum comes back we will have a really good, deep frontcourt.

At this point, I would trade both Odom and Brown and possibly Crittenton for more help up front. We need a new big man who can start at either 4 or 5 and knows how to score down low Bynum style. We also need a solid second option who can put up points every single night, and we know Odom won't do that for us. The loss of Crittenton hurts, but if that's the deal breaker, I would gladly ship him out as well. Now that we don't have Bynum to cover Brown and Odom's slack asses, it is time to find some real help and get some real players here. Would Seattle be interested in doing a deal for Wilcox and Wilkins?

a good gm doesn't overhaul a team after a player gets hurt. jesus, this is like the twilight zone.

How is trading two or three players in a trade overhauling a team? Besides, even before Bynum was hurt, Kwame Brown and Odom should've been traded for somebody who can contribute consistently and launch this team to contention level anyway.

 I personally think its the Negative Bull we need to keep off this board ....

Like all the Oh were this were that NONSENSE for starters .

Also everyone forgets we have Ronny , and Kwame which I personally think they can step up and keep this good flow going .

Overall I think were OKAY if we just keep the CHLEP ROCK post to a LIMIT .

During those championship years we managed to stay well afloat as Shaq took 20 or so games off...I think we'll be fine.
