Hopla's helping [who let him get away and why?], but these appreciation threads are getting out of control. And why don't I have one yet? [Chorus answers: Supply and demand!]

Don't worry, the next loss or losing streak will bring back the "Amazingly Sucky" threads. Though there really haven't been alot of those yet this season.

If Etan comes back hitting 75% from the line, we'll have to build a Hopla shrine. Where there's hope, there's Hopla.

Before I make a joke a his expense, I just want to say THANK YOU to Hopla for making Haywood and Stevenson players you can no longer hack at will.

Now, judging from that picture, I think I know the "secret" behind Hoplas' success...

If the Wizards maintain the FT shooting improvements throughout the season, the Wizards ought to give Hopla a bonus if it's not already in his contract.

He and Ayers have done wonders for this team.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Only one of these things is true:

1. Dave Hopla was the first man to scale Mt. Everest
2. Dave Hopla helped Brendan Todd Haywood become a competent FT shooter.
3. Dave Hopla invented the Polio vaccine.

But all of them are monumental achievements.

In his January 15 blog, Gilbert Arenas wrote:It was in my development stage of high school when I came across Dave Hopla. I started late and it was around the time when dunking was the new thing. If you can dunk at an early age, that

I once saw Dave Hopla scissor kick Angela Lansbury in the head. He taught me how to make love to a woman and scold a child.
