OMG. I hate hate hate Kwame. He is the defination of scrub. I hope we make some kind of trade beore the trading deadline. The west is so though. After the road trip we might be no 10 seed if we start Kwame. It doesn't have to be a super star, but a good role player. Like EE suggested, i would be fine with Mad Dog. However, i want Foster from indiana. Kwame and first for him is not bad trade.

So why not replace Odom with Turiaf instead?
Honestly...I'm not against it but I doubt Phil would do it.

You're right -- Kwame did have help, but if Turiaf goes one-on-one with Amare, it's not going to be pretty. Kwame, by himself, will force Amare to be an outside shooter, which is exactly what you want. Turiaf lacks the size, IMO, to keep a guy like Amare out of the paint, and he fouls too much.
Turiaf has done a better job disrupting Amare straight up in the past than Kwame. Amare is just waaaay too athletic and nimble for Kwame. Ronny's foul troubles are often less when he starts because he has a different mindset and is not so spastic as when he gets 10 spotty minutes a few games here and there and tries to do too much. It's just too bad that he does pick up fouls being the only player on the team that actively tries to block shots and protect the basket besides Drew. When he doesn't swing so wildly for blocks he is often called for fewer fouls.

I think Chris Webber can make or brake us
And I think he knows it so I believe he will sign with us. We have that 2.8 million dollar exception from the Magic and I am not sure if you can sign a player for 2 years with that but if so I hope we do.
With Bynum out for 2 months a lineup of
Webber
Odom
Walton
Kobe
Fisher
can be very effective. Obviously it's not a first place team like a Bynum lead team but do you guys notice what is in that lineup? 5 excellent passers. Everytime a open shot opp happens we will get the easy points. We would have the best passing C,Pf,SF (tied with Lebron)SG(tied with Wade) and a underrated passing pg. We would even have good passers off the bench with 3 pg's and 2 of them able to other positions.
When Bynum comes back Webber would really add alot of depth and I think he would take us to that next level were we could really distance ourselves from the Suns and Mavs and Hornets and Blazers and Nuggets and be fighting it out with the Spurs.
If the miracle of a Kwame Brown trade happens and we actually get a player who is good at playing basketball unlike Brown we would be able to beat the Celtics imo.
If Webber comes on this could be a blessing in disguiese because Webber will build chemistry by getting heavy minutes then be able to go to 20 mins a game when Bynum returns and then we have him in the playoffs. He would be our second player in there 30's which we surely need now. Webber is clearly the perfect triangle player and the Lakers should be the only team he would sign with because in the triangle he would look alot like Chris Webber of old instead of an old Chris Webber.

The best part about Webber signing with us is that he might actually end up having a chance at a ring playing for us. Even when Bynum comes back, Webber can be the leader of our second unit and be the focal point on offense, which is something we lack right now. He is the best available free agent big man and let's just hope he signs with us this time around.
