Arenas after the knicks games
Did anyone here is comments after the game. He said that he would be willing to come of the bench and that he doesn't want to mess up the chemisty when he comes back. This is great news anyone have the quote?

"I Beat The Lock": IBTL is an acronym used on an internet forum when a poster has judged a thread to be due for locking by an administrator due to off-topic or offensive content. Use of IBTL is a declaration that the user has "won a race" versus the forum administrator, who is about to close the thread.

Mike Wise got into the subject in the column he wrote following last night's 111-98 win over the Knicks but I thought I'd throw it out there for you folks to discuss as well. Following the game, Gilbert Arenas had an informal chat with Mike and then other reporters and dropped the concept of coming off the bench once he is cleared for game action (which Gilbert says could be sometime after the all-star break with March 1 set as a possible target date).
"I don't want to mess up the rhythm these guys have going right now," Gilbert said to me at one point. "I want to make sure that I come in and help us keep rolling along."

True, but did you see this quote from GA?

I'm not sure if this idea has been discussed here (probably) as I'm not going to go back through the entire thread, and I'm not sure Gil would buy into it, but if he makes it back this year what about just bringing him off the bench? The guys currently there are getting it done, and if they continue to do so, use Gil as a 6th man. Can you see they expressions on the other teams faces with that kind of fire power coming in at the 8 minute mark? Less wear and tear on the knee, less disruption to what's currently working, less need to Gill to "fit in", a major disruption to the other teams rotations (you going to let Gil run against your second unit?). Playoff time might be a different story (or not) and next year certainly, but for the short term it could eliminate a lot of the perceived problems of Gil's return.
Points out that Gil reads and heeds Cramer's posts before the lock.

Arenas targets a March 1 return
The Associated Press
Article Last Updated: 01/18/2008 10:55:38 PM PST
Gilbert Arenas says Friday he expects to be ready to return from knee surgery by March 1.
Washington has won four of its past five games to improve to 21-17, despite playing without injured All-Star Arenas (Grant High of Van Nuys) since November. He said he's been pain-free since having a second operation on his left knee and he thinks he can be "mentally and physically ready" to return in about 1 months.
