2nd best center in the East?

Post#1 » by KciDeKiLi » Sat Jan 19, 2008 8:40 pm

Who is the 2nd best center in the east? Dwight Howard is going to have the center position locked in the east for years to come, but who will be his back-up this year and future years? Shaq is old and injured so I doubt he is going to get chosen by the coaches. So where does that leave us in terms of the center position in the east? We have a few other decent centers but they aren't exactly what some would call "All Star" material. Will the centers be some surprising names like Jamaal Magloire in 2003-04?

Haywood has to be mentioned if you mention Bogut and Daley....but I think Okafor is a good choice at #2, or R.Wallace.

Really doesn't matter.

Okafor/Dalembert/Bogut/Haywood

I think I take Bogut for the future though, just shown the most flashes in my opinion.

There really is only one good C in the East and that's Howard. The others are all about even (Bogut, Ilgauskus, Dalembert, Haywood etc.)

He's just as good as the other mediocre centers in the East.

Are you guys forgetting that Jermaine O'Neal is listed as a center or do you really think he's that far off from the players you've mentioned to not be put in their category?

My choice would be Rasheed, but no one really stands out after Howard.. Anyone between Sheed/Oneal(indiana)/Okafor/Bogut/Dalembert/Haywood/BigZ is cool with me.

I'm not going to say he definitely is or definitely isn't, but to say (or imply) that it's out of the realm of possibility is ridiculous.

Most of the good bigmen in the east are power forwards.
