It was nice to hear T-Mac was going to make his return against us. We just can't catch a break. I say we win this if T-Mac has a rusty night.

Otherwise........

We've lost our 32nd game of the year. I've tried to stay upbeat and optomistic with this group, but I've lost most of that watching them play over the past two months.

Of course McGrady is coming back against us. He loves to demolish the green and gold. For some reason, every time we play the Rockets, we go into a zone. A zone in which McGrady promptly finds the holes and hits about five three pointers. Book it.

How about this for some great insight... We are not good.

Its getting hard for me to want to watch this team. Can we please make a trade to help us have some more hope for the future?

This is the first televised game i've missed this season and I couldn't care less. Fortunately, I keep getting told that there's no pressure from the fans to win games this season (or next season or the season after that...). Apparently apathy is not to be construed as pressure. :nonono:

Oh Dick, you are so cute when you pout

Sure there is "some" pressure from the fan for the Sonics to get better. But not compared to the Heat who are two years removed from winning a Championship. That was my point.

The Heat are reeling, they had large expectations this season. Sonics didn't. It's that simple Dick.

what i noticed was collison hitting open long range shots...if he continues to shoot the ball well for the outside, he can be a tough player to guard

Expectations doesn't necessarly mean pressure. The Heat are in a position similar to the 96-97 David Robinson led (injured) Spurs team that won 20 games. Similar to adding Duncan, the Heat will be adding their top pick and be right back in contender mode. That's the type of rebuild I envy.

As for the Heat fans, like I mentioned before, they're selling out every game. Where's the pressure from their fans to win now? It appears to me that they're intelligent enough to see the big picture and realize that losing this year will put them in a great position to be big time winners next year and even beyond that after Shaq retires. Next season for them is a tangible reward for dealing with a season of failure.

The Sonics future is so far off on the horizon that is requires a religious type of belief to see the promised land at the end of a seemingly endless road of suffering and quite frankly, i'm not willing to get on my knees and pray to our savior Sam Presti on a daily basis. I guess I belong in Sonics purgatory with the rest of the cast off fans.

i am really suprised at some of the things i am reading on this board. where we so spoiled by the sucess of the 90's and so jaded by the unfullfiled promise of the new millenium? this is a total rebuild. the only shame is that they didn't start this sooner. some of you people need to get a grip. this will take a while. this is not year 5 of futility, this is year ONE of new management, ownership, direction, etc.....be paitent my friends.

Agreed. As a Blazer fan, I can tell you all first-hand that rebuilding is definitely a painful process but the finished result can be amazing. The sonics have a VERY bright future and with Kevin Durant and your nice young players and once they all jell together (not to mention once the sonics add a draft pick this offseason), the SuperSonics will once again rise into relavance and will definitely be a top 4 team in the west in about 2-3 seasons.

Well as much as I hate to admit it the idea that there is a chance that the team could move is really killing me. With the lack of news about an arena deal and the attitude of our politicians its really hard to be excited. If I new that something was being worked on and that the team would stay for sure then I would be so excited right now. Honestly I am not that mad that we are losing. Kevin and Jeff are going to look good with Derrick Rose next year.

^^^^^^^

yeah, the uncertainty over where this team will be playing is a valid reason for some of the apathy. but..........they are still the SEATTLE SUPERSONICS, this is still our team. losing is hard, and we have definately enjoyed a great deal of sucess in the past, so that sometimes makes the losing a little tougher. but so long as this team remains in seattle, i will be a fan, i will support them, and i will be watching. i would hope that the sonics faithfull continue to support the team, and show everyone that seattle is a basketball city and that we do want the team to stay.
