I would think New Jersey would want expiring contracts, youth, and picks.

Detroit would love to get Camby in this scenario and has expirings/picks for NJ and a good vet big that plays D, gets steals, blocks, and boards, can hit the outside J, and is on a reasonable contract in McDyess for Denver.

Would you guys trade Camby, Najera, Smith, Hunter, Atkins, 08 1st for Dice, Kidd, Murray, Herrmann?

This scenario would lop $30 million of NJ's cap next year. They would be at $29 million plus draft signings. That would allow them to make a splash in the FA market before heading to Brooklyn.

Kidd/AI/Melo/Martin/Dice (until Nene is healthy) would be pretty impressive I think.

Food for thought

EDIT - we could also do a Rip for AI swap. I would prefer not to as Rip is very important to our offensive movement but I would be very inclined to pull the trigger none the less.

Which would be better Kidd/AI/Melo/Martin/Dice or Kidd/Rip/Melo/Martin/Dice

The Rip scenario would have Hunter and Atkins staying in Denver and Collins/Murray heading there as well.

Given the way New Jersey is NOT tearing up the East even with the talent they have on paper, it'd be a bad idea to trade for their best player.

Especially if we have to give them some of the packages I'm seeing out there.

You guys have to be patient. The last 3 out of 4 years the Nugs have played really well after the all-star break. Melo will be back soon, KMart will be at full strength, Karl will be more motivated.

If the rest of the season ends in a tailspin or an ugly first round exit, then I agree some changes should be made. But for now there's no point in disrupting the team chemistry.

Here's my idea. Got a few good responses on the trade board..

Denver:
Trades: Allen Iverson, Nene, JR Smith, Steven Hunter, 2 First Round Picks
Receives: Jason Kidd, Ben Gordon, Ben Wallace

Chicago:
Trades: Ben Gordon, Ben Wallace, Tyrus Thomas, Viktor Khryapa
Receives: Allen Iverson, Nene, 1st Round Pick (via Denver)

New Jersey:
Trades: Jason Kidd
Receives: Tyrus Thomas, JR Smith, Viktor Khryapa, Steven Hunter, 1st Round Pick (via Denver)

I don't think there is a good way of trading for Kidd, we will have to get rid of some big, I highly doubt FO will let go of AI.

I won't be surprised if Kidd will be a Laker on February 21st.
