I still got hope for Turkoglu but I'm not too confident about his chances.

He has gotten consideration though, which is at the least what he deserved.

LOL @ the JJ pick. I hope it turns out to be BS.

Thank god the NBA finally got smart and changed the rule this year. You don't have to have 2 centers anymore!

You just answered your question right there, 2 freaking months do not make an allstar. I would have no problem giving him a spot if he did it all year, but damn 2 freaking months? GET REAL!!!!

His stats are still really, really good as is. Better than J.J, Rip or Turkoglu.

East Allstar's

Locks

Pierce, Only because they deserve 2 allstars. I think he is having an average season for his standards, but still pretty good.
Billups, You can't have the 2nd best team in the east not have a single allstar, plus he gets the respect of the coaches for his all around game.
Butler, he has been amazing all year plus he is pretty much carrying that wizard team minus Agent 0.
Bosh, Don't need to say anything about this. He is damn good and everyone knows it.

Considered

Hedo, Should make it considering how clutch he has been all year plus he is on the 3rd best team in the east.
Calderon, been playing lights out since TJ went down. I just can't give a spot to a guy who hasn't done it all year though. Look at his stats for the year, they are no where near an allstar level. I don't get how Raptor fans can't grasp that concept. If he continues playing like this next year though, then I have no problem giving him a spot.
Jamison, been damn good this year. The problem I have is... does Washington really deserve 2 allstars? I don't think so!
JJ, If the rumors are true that he made it, then it's gotta be THE WORST selection this year. No way does a guy on a subpar team that hasn't been clutch make it.
Gerald Wallace, Been putting up awesome numbers of late, he gets screwed because how crappy his team is.
Rip, I think other players have better numbers but he is consistent plus he has raised his game to another level this year. I think he gets in on coaches respect for his game, plus we all know coaches don't follow whos hot or not this year. They go by rep.

After finishing my list, I see I only picked 2 from the considered list. Since I need a 3rd I think i'll go with Jamison.

Calderon, PPG=12.3, RPG=3.2, APG=8.8, SPG=1.1, BPG=.01, FG%=0.521, Team Records=25-20
JJ, PPG=21.2, RPG=4.4, APG=5.3, SPG=.8, BPG=.1, FG%=0.407, Team Records=18-24
Turk, PPG=19.4, RPG=6.1, APG=4.3, SPG=1.1, BPG=.4, FG%=0.438, Team Records=29-18
Rip, PPG=19, RPG=3.4, APG=4.4, SPG=1, BPG=.2, FG%=0.503, Team Records=32-13

How are those stats better? Plus the big stat, TEAM RECORDS, both Orlando and Detroit have better records.

No. But it's obvious you sensed some bias towards Atlanta. There is none.

Interesting. I would think Washington's record (considering we haven't had Gil basically all season) would be a selling point on Jamison rather than a reason not to pick him. Though you did end up picking him, which makes me happy. :D

Please justify how JJ is better than Hedo, Jose or even Crash.

You can't. Because he's not ... maybe Hedo, but not this year.

Jamison > Calderon > Wallace > Hedo > Johnson.

I know it's easy to poke fun at Raptor fans and their overwhelming bias, but some of these Calderon ball washers are reaching new heights.

Calderon OVER Billups?

Granted, the guy is playing fairly well. But for god sakes, he has only been a starter for a month and a half.

Christ...I would even take someone like Turkoglu before even considering Calderon

Hell, I'd take Joe Johnson over Calderon

One guy said Calderon over Billups. Don't generalize, I for one think Billups is more deserving and along with Bosh, Butler and Pierce, should be a lock to get in.

Billups is not an all star. Hedo is much more deserving of it IMHO.

I think thats teal........Im not sure......

Turkeyglue has been very good for Orlando this year. Actually a pleasant surprise. Billups has been Billups. But I cant remember how many times I saw a Turkeyglue buzzer beater on ESPN's top plays this year....

Baron beat Paul? When? The Warriors beat the Hornets, but Paul dominated Baron for most of the game (and the Warriors threw everything at Paul). Baron added a lot of threes later in the game. Paul is much better than Baron ever was.
