the funny thing is odom had a lane to the basket, but instead he stopped for an airball...

i think you can look at both. but that was a total bonehead play by odom. kobe atleast got us back in the game with lights out shooting. odom shouldnt shoot the ball anywhere outside 8 feet. he always shoots it wwwaaayy to strong. every single time.

Kobe has been playing hard. Crashing the glass, being our best rebounder since Bynum went down. Nobody takes the blame for one single game, this was a team loss... Phil has to start being a bit more creative in getting Kobe a good look for a game winner.... something I think he has not done at least the last 20 times in that situation. 10million dollars should get you something creative going for Kobe, a good look isn't much to ask for.

Defense was horrible on the last shot and Odumb just lost any support I might've ever had for him.

lakers up by 2
17.7 sec detroit possesion

Chaucy dribbled past the right of key and shot a 19 fter that hit the rim hard... the ball bounced to princes hands at the oppsite side of the 3 pt arc and prince buries the 3.

lakers down by 1 4 secs to go

kwame got the inbound and passed it to lamar for an air ball

He got a rebound... remember he is a rebounding machine... the best there ever was. 9 rebounds per game for a power foward is unheard of by some people, I guess power fowards are only supposed to grab like 5 or so.

Seriously. You come out knowing if you play good defense on that possesion, you've got the win. You know you can't let them get a 3 to win it. Yet you rotate horribly and leave Rasheed and Prince open for two 3's. ..not to mention not getting the offensive rebound.

Disgusting.

Hey coach how about putting in jump shooters in the game when there's only 4 seconds left and we are 1 down? No way we get a rebound off that anyway.

Oh, stop with the Kobe turnovers. Many of them were due to the refs allowing the Pistons to play extremely aggressive defense on him, especially in the first half. He got mugged several times. He was also assessed wack turnovers such as the instance when Radmanovic threw a pass too high. Kobe jumped and only was able to get a finger on it. Kobe was assessed the turnover. Kobe got a pass that Rip knocked out of his hands. Refs said it was off Kobe last. Kobe also tried to throw an entry pass to Radman. Radman didn't even bend down, it bounced right off him.

Our game plan was trying to get the ball into the post. There was a reason that Rasheed had 5 fouls. We forced the ball into the post, and several times Kwame just didn't get the pass.

Anybody watching the game would see that Kobe wasn't careless about the ball. It was a combination of very aggressive Pistons' defense, some miscues with his teammates, and the refs letting calls go.

Radman had 6 turnovers despite rarely handling the ball and Odom had 3, despite being off the ball most of the night.

well for an optimistic view. we played easily the worst quarter of Laker basketball since the early 90's and still came back to lose by only one on the road in one of the toughest buildings. Most of our guys showed heart. Ronny, Kobe, Farmar, Sasha, Fisher. And if we play like we did in the second half for the remainder of the road trip, we should be good. I hope

ugh... you gotta give credit to the pistons they had Kobe in a straight jacket all night. They took the last shot away from Kobe and we were forced to inbound to Kwame.

I'd like to see some of the ballhandling deferred to Farmar and Fish tomorrow, we're relying on Kobe to create for everybody else too much. He had a tough defensive assignment in Hamilton and he was running point for probably 80% of the game.
