Who cares? It's the All-Star Game.

It's a lame display of guys going through the motions, not playing D, and avoiding injuries at all cost.

Camby in the all-star game might end up just being embarrassing anyway. he would just jack up a bunch of 15 foot shots and make 1/4th of them.

Or he might try to run the point and end up jamming a pinky. Out for 10 games.

Yeah. Part of being an All-Star is being able not to jam your pinky.

Camby could still be selected and just play light during the game. There's nothing to say the players can't just take it easy and let the younger guys throw themselves on the floor.

But, he's just going to fly under the radar as he always does. Defensive player of the WCF or the Finals would be much much better in the end..

I don't really care about him playing the game, I'd actually prefer that he didn't. It would just be such a great honor for him to be selected to the game.....for as great as he has been in his career, to never have been selected to an all-star team would be really ghey. I mean ****, Jamaal Magloire was once an all-star....Camby deserves the honor.

If you guys want to be mad at something, be mad about Roy getting in. How many years has Melo put up those numbers, only to hear "he has to pay his dues." He finally got in, after having the best year of his life, and he still wasn't a real allstar.

Camby is the best center in the west, you guys suck for taking him from us in a trade that eventually caused us to get Quitbury. He should be in this game, Amare shouldn't, Amare isn't a center, he is a freaking PF. This is the same crap as Howard making it as a center even though he is really a PF, I never saw JOneal making it as a center, so why are these guys.

Camby should be there, so should Tyson Chandler. Nash, Dirk, and Amare all shouldn't have been there.

Those who follow the NBA would realize Camby would make the team on the eastern squad. As it has been mentioned before, I'd love to see him make the team, but a DPOTY or a defensive all team award would be appreciative as well. And he has mentioned he takes time off during the all-star break to be with his family. I'd rather have him relax and enjoy his rest then playing out on the court while risking an injury.

comme on. NOH are the best team in the league. They fully deserve more than one player.

Camby has been playing out of his mind this season, and SHOULD finish in the top 2-3 for DPOY. I think you COULD even make the argument that he deserves it over AI or Melo. That being said, though it is unfair, I would find it hard to believe that with our seeding, as of today, that we would deserve 3 all-stars. It just would not seem right.

why is everyone making it into a team thing? like, since we already have 2 people going to the all star game, we shouldnt have any more going.. who cares? if someone deserves to go, then they deserve to go.. if 3 players from the knicks were playing better than alot of other players who play on better teams, then they should all go...

i know that it would be hard to make a case for camby because theres alot of good big men in the west... but the reason he didnt make it shouldnt solely be just because we already have 2 people in the all star game.. thats ridiculous

well, if the Nuggets had the best record in the West, and Camby still didn't get selected, then it just wouldn't be in the stars...but he made his case for it and now things just have to settle

The question still remains, do they select BD or Camby should someone not be able to play the game?

Everyone is "making it into a team thing" because thats the way the all-star game has always been. You get partially rewarded for how well your team is doing. Hell, just a couple of years ago, 4 players from Detroit made it, and you could argue that none of them were having all-star years statistically. Whether it is fair or not, players on successful teams are rewarded, and that is common knowledge.

One thing Camby can be proud of is helping both Melo and AI get into the ASG.

Without his defense....yeah......

Camby definitely deserved to be an all-star this year.

I agree with others that Denver's record and/or having 2 other all-star teammates probably worked against him. And, of course, playing in the super-competitive Western conference factored as well. Baron Davis also deserved to go.
