Great point, the man who made the worst trade of this decade has just redeemed himself!

After all the mitch bashing I've done the last two years for keeping Smush around without trying to find a decent pg has bit me in the ass... it has never felt so good to be so wrong. Geez I thought mitch was already redeemed for trading for ariza and holding on to bynum.

Its plain and simple Dallas Phoenix and San Antonio all have way way way more depth.

And again Gasol is not a top five forward not even close

80-20 is laughable for the center comparrison diop and dampier bring just as much defense if not more than bynum ansd just a little less ppg

Lol we already had the best bench in the league (except for SA who bring manu of the bench for psychological reasons and what not)

Turiaf, Farmar, Ariza, Luke, Vlad Rad, Sasha + the Big starting 5. We are an 11 deep team no one in the league can even come close to that.

Yikes, you guys got away with a crime like Kobe!!

I know Gasol wanted more of the offense to go
thru him & that was one reason why he asked
to be traded, im just wondering how long hes
going to stay quiet because hes going to be
facing the same thing as a Laker, haha!!

Hate to admit it but this makes you guys really tough when Bynum comes back. You can go big with Odom at the 3 and create a ton of matchup problems. Mortgaged the future but winning now is more important when you consider this is going to make Kobe VERY happy.

The draft picks are not going to be great anyway and we are still a very young team. I think our future is just fine

Congrats on a major steal of a trade. It should really make you guys a threat to win it all.

I still hate the Lakers, but, nice job.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Winning solves everything. Trust me Pau will be the happiest he's ever been once he hits Lakerland. It just sucks that our next home game isn't for 3 weeks! I can't wait to see the reception Pau gets! Pau's numbers will probably stay the same or drop just a little bit this year, but other than that he's probably ecstatic that he's on a contender.

Actually I have no idea what's going to happen with Pau's stats... theoretically they could all go up because of the way he fits in the triangle, especially with Bynum out for another month and a half.

delux55 you gotta be the dumbest poster coming to this board posting the garbage your saying. No disrespect to fans of other teams who are coming to the board to offer congrats, but teams like the Spurs and Suns or the Mavs don't have the benches like we have.

Sun fans complain all the time on their board about their teams short rotation. The Spurs are old and nonathletic but their built more for the playoffs then regular season. And the Mavs are good but they are beatable, just like we'll be but it's all about what else yopu have to go along with your stars and we have a lot period.

Yeah they are really going to be terrible now, lol. You just signficantly upgraded your current team but who knows. Just saying that you gave up 3 young players but I would trade 3 young players for one proven one anyday of the week. It was a good trade most definitely.
