To the OP - are you like 6 years old?
Btw, I'm a Lakers fan, too, but we really don't know how good the Lakers are until they play w/ their full line-up for at least 10-20 games (and that's including Bynum). All these new threads about the Lakers that are popping up in General NBA Discussion need to stop. Nobody gives a crap about the Lakers getting better except us Laker fans. So, why don't you just keep these threads in the Lakers forum instead of giving everyone else a bad name?

You have to factor in defense.
Sheed does more to win a series against the Spurs or Celtics than Gasol would.
Sheed plays D on Duncan and KG better than anyone.
Sheed disappears in the playoffs. One of the reasons the Cavs upset the Pistons in last years ECF was the fact that Sheed no-showed and got outplayed by Gooden and Varejao.

Gasol has never even won a playoff series.
SHeed's D in 04 over Kmart, Jermaine O'neal, and the Tim Duncan was huge in winning a championship.
In 05 his D was a key reason Detroit took San Antonio to 7 games.
Sheed excels against the best in the league.
And in 07 playoffs Sheed wasn't the same player is today. He was fat, dealings with nagging injuries, and worn down.
I guess we will have to wait and see what Detroit does this year against Boston and whatever team Detroit faces in the finals.

Lakers haven't even played together one game yet and won't for another month
i think the top 2 starting 5s are Detroit and then NO, unfortunately NO might have the worst bench in the league.
