Bellinelli needs more than a "passer" to succeed. hes got Baron and Jackson and they are good passers, but he still doesnt play. Belli needs to stay away from the perimeter and actually move. I dont agree with Nelli that Marco moves well without the ball (maybe in practice but not in the real game)

Pietrus has had 4.5 years of PT.... solid PT... and shown - zero - improvements.

Can you name one thing Mikael does better now than as a rookie? His 3pt % is slightly up, more as a result of staying strictly in the corner. FTs still suck. Shot selection sucks. Defense is still spotty at best.

Still reaches like a rookie... he's earned the moniker Reachrus...

2.7 FPG in 17 mpg... if there was a FP40, I'd be willing to wager that Pietrus is the highest non-rook PG/SG/SF of the bunch.

Guards ahead of him:

Bobby Jones (MEM/DEN), 11.1 MPG, 8.1
Joey Graham (TOR) 10.3 MPG, 8.1

Considering how brutal Graham is, and that Jones has played on 2 teams this season, hardly a coincidence.

He's a 24 yr old rook... maybe some vet or coach can get him to start playing actual defense... Wouldn't bet on it, but he still has the tools.

Graham has no defense whatsoever. He's a complete waste of space. As amazing as it may sound to those who know MP, MP >>> Graham.

And I can't agree about MP's reaching. Or rather, I do agree he reaches, but I think it's a good thing. He creates a lot of turnovers that way and doesn't get called for it very much. At least not on the Warriors, where we dare the refs to call digs from the opening tap.

edit: but I don't really want to be defending MP. I won't miss him at all, except for his personality.

Graham might be the single most useless player in the NBA.

His form is what bothers me... Baron's one of the better ones at it, though I've noticed Jax and Al are getting good at it too...

Pietrus goes tribal.... TOMAHAWK CHOP!

Even when he gets the ball cleanly, guarantee you a zebra whistles him for it. Might even be based on rep at this point...

Whats worse for Pietrus is that he reaches in really, really stupid situations... he has bailed out countless people with nowhere to go. He has 0.9 spg, but they aren't coming from him stripping players, they are coming from his natural athleticism and being able to move quickly. He's never got the hang of stripping.... he's a chopper.
