Post#1 » by pydc2r » Mon Feb 4, 2008 9:56 am

i found this video off youtube one day when i was surfing and thought i would share it with you guys. hopefully it is not a repost but this looks like the longer, uncut version of his and1 ad. check out the footage of a very young monta, he still looks the same except shorter.

Really cool stuff. A lot of nice Monta clips. Thanks.

BTW, I can see Monta's got a lot of mouths to feed from that video. Cohan better be saving his coins. He's gonna need them with Monta and Beans.

We're lucky to have the guy. What a second round steal.

Great steal. He has the potential to become an all-star. If he were 2 inches taller...

Hmm, his ball handling is just fine. He needs to work on extending his shooting range and his defense. He is coming along though.

Ya it sucks watching him tear the league apart without the 3 ball...I say sign Azubuike this summer to a multi year extension and let Monta walk....Azubuike can make 40% of his 3's when his teammates create and leave him wide open..That's the guy to keep...Ellis has been OK I guess..But we should not worry about resigning him..We need more 3 balls next year.

I think Monta may well be an All Star... maybe next year.

He probably has the best shot of any Warrior of making the All Star team next.

i never thought i'd say this, but i'm actually happy we lost arenas the way we did. when gil left i thought that was the worst thing - even though you saw it coming. but if that never happened there would be no "gilbert arenas" rule that would allow us to keep monta here.

wow.

wow.

Mullin didn't use the Arenas rule to his advantage here. He used revisionist history and did what Saint should have done...third year team option. The third year gives them full Bird Rights and the right of first refusal on any offer sheet Ellis may receive.

Why is that? A promotional video is a lot different from how a person behaves in real life. I'm not saying that Monta is the messed up kid the rumors suggest, I'm just saying you can't judge anything by a marketing video.

If he was Starbury's cousin he would have been top 3...
