We need to learn to be a more patient team on a consistent basis. Quick shots are good if your on fire, but sometimes your just wasting possessions.

But not establishing anything in the paint bit us in the behind. We played soft the entire game, and when our perimeter shots stopped falling, we had nowhere to go.

Horford and Josh Smith owned the paint tonight. If I were the Lakers, I'd question why we're willing to try to take shortcuts in the game.

I'm not just talking about Pau, Kobe himself only had 1 rebound. Dislocated finger or not, he's got to help out on the boards when our team is getting pounded on the boards. Before we got Pau Gasol, Kobe was averaging 10 rebounds a game for the past 5 or 6 games. Kobe can clean up the boards if he wants to.

I think Kobe is a little giddy about the Pau trade, and thinks he can just waltz to victory every game just passing to his teammates. He needs to score, he needs to rebound, he needs to defend, and he needs to keep playing like Kobe.

Cut the crap and start playing basketball
.

Absolutely agree with this. And Kobe is giddy and not just little about Pau. I think this game would and should wake Kobe up.

When was the last time Kobe played like this?

Yeah, some people think I'm a Kobe homer, but he generally plays like the best player in the league most nights.

He didn't tonight, and I have no problem calling him out, or anybody else out.

Not only did he play poorly, I really dislike the way he's playing the game right now, and that's much more disappointing to me.

Lamar's outplayed Kobe two nights in a row.

Somebody's still playing basketball.

Kobe most likely was affected by the injury and like Miles said he is still having wetdreams about the Gasol trade combined with the fact that he overlooked his opponents tonight. He thought he was going to cruise and pass all night long and get an easy win. Stupid.

I want to see Kobe play like he did against the Raptors a couple games back. Attack, attack, and attack

eh, i think it was more the finger than simply a bad shooting night for kobe. a lot of people like to talk about lamar's historically bad shooting first half of the season but i think he tore a ligament early on in the season. not easy to overcome since it not as easy as tolerating the pain.

This is what happen when you proclaim yourself the champions after one trade. If the fans thought we were champs, the stupid players probably thought they were going to cruise tonight. Well, reality was a bitch and so was the entire team tonight.

I agree here...lets not become like the Suns/ Celt fans. Please.

a crucial missed freethrow from odom (though he had a good game other than that), fisher missed a crucial freethrow, our front court got beasted on the boards, kobe lost the ball at a key time, we were down by 3, sasha goes for layup and down 1, yup...thats how

What a **** loss. I blame Kobe trying to show flashy dribbling between his legs when he didnt need to and turned it over in a crucial time. I dont know what Gasol's stat line was but he didnt look right out there.
