I hate when Fitz dwells on something that happened in the first quarter like missed FTs or "a 5 point swing(mark that down because if we lose blah blah blah". He spends the first 3 quarters looking for excuses just in case we lose. Thats really annoying. We're a winning team now, enough with the loser mentality. He needs to go do play by play for some losing team, thats his bread and butter.

Rick Barry doing the color on warriors broadcasts would be wild..Players and coaches would hate him..but we'd get an honest view of what the hell was going on...Of course Barry would be fired by Cohan/Rowell with a week.

i like fitz and jim, they are one of the more entertaining announcers around the league.

He also mentioned how much the warriors could use Brandan's length...You could feel the frustration coming through..Jim and I see it the same when it comes to POB and BW.

I think Jim Barnett became a great announcer for the Warriors once 2 things happened:
1.) He started calling the game at hand rather than endlessly singing Dunleavy Jr.'s praises when the guy hadn't done anything significant yet or in a long while.
2.) He started talking about players that fans of all ages should be familar with. For instance, I may know such players like Connie Hawkins and Elvin Hayes, but lots of people at home are probably thinking, who the f---k are they?

For the most part, Barnett calls everything like he sees it, which is mostly accurate. He keep Fitz in check because Fitz is a super homer. It's not like Fitz is a bad announcer per se, but his comments get a little stale/annoying just like how Barnett use to mention Dunleavy as either struggling or he dribbles and passes the ball very well for a man 6'10. Yes, we know! We also know he can't shoot worth crap when it's an open look, and yet the Barnett defensive comments come out like no other player when he misses a bucket. It's like Barnett was secretly Jr's real dad.

So now that we're winning and we actually have forwards that can deliver, Barnett is a superb Warriors announcer. He calls the plays accurately, he gives insight about what might happen, he gives insight about how the nba is because he was a former player,and he analyzes the game better than Fitz.

Fitz doesn't bring much of that same perspective as Barnett, but he does bring a lively voice. I just wish he weren't such a homer or start complaining about things that aren't relevant or accurate to what is really happening in the game. Why complain about something earlier in the game or something that was the correct call. Fans can complain about that, but the announcers should just call the game or give info on the players and how they've been doing in the last few games. Information from announcers is good.

I don't care much for Barnett's current player comparisons to the legends...He is also so predictable with what he is going to say, though I do believe he has gotten better this season.

Fitz can leave anytime...the sooner the better.

our announcers are the least of our worries. league pass has made me realize that we are lucky to have fitz and jim.

of course, im a big fitz fan from the radio. the fitz and brooks show is a favorite of mine. I'd love to see tolbert join fitz when barnett is done. Fitz / tolbert would be awesome.

Anybody who thinks our announcers are bad or homers should watch NBA league pass for a week. You'll see how good we have it here. I tried watching a Portland game and had to mute the TV. Their color guy will turn your stomach.

i had to live in oregon for a couple of years in the 90s & recall how i wasn't really fond of the blazers, but really started to develop an annoyance toward them because of their announcers. do they still got that guy that says "bingo bango bongo?" it was rough, man.
