A gunner earlier in his career, as in 2 months ago. He has really improved his shot selection recently. he has shot over 50% his last 16 games by cutiing down on contested (off the dribble) outside jumpers.

If he continues to be more selective offensively- shooting uncomntested threes and catch and shooting off of picks- he will be a decent asset for this team. he can give them a productive 20 minutes a night. he definitely fits well in the mold of athletes that can push the ball on the break abnd finish.

And, you see, I believe he is very coachable and will improve his shot selection. I think he wants to be a good team player and with good coaching, will become one. With his shooting talent and coachability, I think he is a player to invest in and not just get rid of him with the "hope" of getting someone better down the road.

It's probably the Cool-Aide, but I like all of the players on the roster right now, and am not eager to dump any of them. That said, we moved KK to increase our cap flexability. If I had to pick two other salaries that were "luxaries on a rebuilding team" (like KK was described by Ed)- the two would be Green and Evans.

Both have long, low but somewhat substantial contracts. Both are not essential to our future. Both are nice to have as role players- but I wouldn't hessitate moving them if their 3-4 mil was the difference in landing the right star in a trade or FA signing.

And I totally buy into that. I was not happy with the departure of Korver but have since come to recognize that he may not have fit the scheme of things on this team (fast/athletic) so it probably was a good move. I also realize that other GM's are not going to give up an asset for nothing. So, if Willie Green is traded or Evans is traded, I am sure that Stefanski has a good reason for doing so and I will be ok with that. I see this team improving since the departure of AI and Webber and it is a good thing and will eventually put the Sixers in the hunt for a Championship.

I agree with you about everything but being on the road to a championship. We are heading in the right direction, and building a good team (and I don't see Ed steering us much differently than BK was before his firing.)

We have an exciting young core, but as Sendem accurately (abrasively?) points out, we lack young stars like other rebuilding teams like Portland have.

Unlike sendem- I don't think this is a fatal or uncorrectable flaw. If we stay cap sensable and develop our young players we can hopefully make the painful move of moving some good young players for star vets like Boston has done.
