In a separate deal, the Nets are going to send Antoine Wright to the Mavericks for a future second-round pick

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love this deal, and this is the deal I've wanted all along plus more! I mean I love kidd for what he has done for us, but it was time to go. I wanted to Get Devin, a pick, and expirings. Instead we get Diop also, ager also, and also a 1st. I hope we are not buying out stack. He can get us a decent pick/prospect or even just expiring contract. We get some picks, low but this is a deep class and we can try to package some picks to trade up.

Next step is get rid of VC

Billups would become starter and most likely Ray Allen would become a reserve.

great trade for you guys, especially with harris and the 2 first round picks. i hate the nets, but thorn always seems to always pull off trades to put you guys in a good position.

that being said, your still stuck with VC and his contract!

I posted this on a nother threat cuz i didnt know this one existed so here it is.

i like devin. I think of all feasible PG's, we have to be happy it was him if kidd had to go.

Also, should we buy out Stack? who will hold down the fort when vince sits? Dump stack and pick up Hassan Adams again? or trade for Pietrus?

U dont think they will let Vince in despite his play this yr. I think Rays hurt also.

o lol well ive been missing that. and to say antione is a BUST is unfair. he came in to be that shooter off the bench. he has been a bust in that scense, but hes definatly not a total bust. His D is very good and he makes great plays around the basket, scoring wise and passing. if only his shots fell, he would be a nice player for us.

EDIT: also we only got a 2nd rounder for him, and that 2nd rounder is most likely going to be a low one. Wright is worth more than that. Maybe its just to balance out the Kidd deal, but still.

Destroyed the Mavericks completely, what a trade for the Nets. This is almost as good as the Gasol trade was for the Lakers.

Those two first rounders don't matter much but the Nets now have a nice PG combo (please stop suggesting a Harris-Williams backcourt it's almost pointless).

Now unload Vince's contract to Orlando for a bunch of expirings holding onto Stackhouse for now.

Damn no more Kidd to Swift!

Harris is a pretty good baller, and he's still young. The deal isn't bad but it sucks to lose Kidd...

-Bah so this is how rebuilding feels like.
I hate rebuilding......
We have to somehow offer Vince and or RJ to the Heat for their 1st round pick.

-Kidd is just a big **** this franchise helped him so much with his personal life and yet when things got tough he makes the franchises life a leaving hell.

-Kidd aint winning that championship he's so desperate to get, no matter how many team's he abandons the Mavs of this year arent close to being close to the Lakers,Celtics,Suns etc'.

-Well now that I got my frustration out of my system, the value of this trade for us really depends on who buys out Stack's contract if its Cuban than yeah we got a pretty solid deal, but if its us this trade is redicolously one sided.

I'll shed a tear in Kidd's last game as a net, I swear...
but Thorn is a genius for real, this is like a best-case scenario for trading Kidd.
