OT: Don't Deny It...

Post#1 » by 75totheMACCfund » Sun Feb 17, 2008 7:07 pm

I know some of you on here will be watching the Daytona 500...

I personally tune in to be amazed that 250,000 people show up to watch cars go around and take left hand turns only...

and you cannot deny how hilarious the commentary is...

Just admit it, some of you will watch at least a small portion of NASCAR's superbowl

Nope. In fact I make it my mission to skip over FOX for the day because I don't want to watch a second of that crap.

No thanks. It does look good in HD though.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

If this is me, then I will be watching the Daytona 500:

If it is not, then I am not going to yawn through it.

You be the judge.

Side note - I also used to keep an eye on Indy, CART, F1, etc.

My uncle used to get us passes for the Miller VIP tent at Road America for a few of the big races...that was cool. Exciting to see faster cars turn and play the elements of an actual course. Sadly, maybe it is just me but a lot of those leagues have lost momentum and I haven't paid as much attention.

The only thing cool about NASCAR is the atmosphere down inside the track, but I'd rather get drunk and party before a football game or something than watch Billy Bob hit on his sister and spin my head in a circle to watch a boring race.

Quoting DW"Boogity,Boogity,Boogity, lets go racing". I can not wait til the green flag comes down. Better than watching any of our Milwaukee Sucks games

please don't be mistaken that i'm a NASCAR fan...it's just hilarious to watch...the commentary consists of talking about tight turns, fast pit stops, and lots of "giggity giggity giggity let's go racin!"...hell if i'll sit and watch the whole thing, but i'll throw it on for a half hour or so

Yeah man don't worry I understand your initial argument. If I wasn't really hung over and trying to make it over to the CS lab to do a project today then I would maybe watch for the comedy myself.

I never watched NASCAR in my life, but last year I said "what the hell, I'll give it a shot". I actually got into it a little bit. Of course the crashes are what draw me into it, but I won't be ashamed that I do watch quite a few of the races.

I have no problems admitting it. I'm sitting here with the TV on mute and my sirius radio on channel 123 for Tony Stewart's channel.

If we can admit to watching this god awful team for the past few years and posting religiously on RealGM we shouldn't have any problem saying we watch NASCAR.
