Sixersfan... any word as to what Stefanski thinks of Marcus Williams? Since the team expressed interest in Lowry, wouldn't they also have interest in Williams now that NJN has Devin Harris?

Williams more or less does the same thing Lowry does (young PG that shouldn't cost much and serve as a backup to Miller) but I wonder if Ed has positive or negative feelings about Marcus.

I'd rather have Carney than Marcus Williams. Atleast Carney can guard elite players straight up VERY well. Marcus Williams is a below average athlete, has average height, can't shoot, isn't a scorer, and he's just a good passer with poor defense. There isn't anything to like about Marcus except for the fact that he is a young player. Many people just are in awe of youthful basketball players and overvalue them as "prospects"...

I have more faith in Marcus Williams being in the NBA 5 years from now than I do Rodney Carney.

Thomas for Green and expirings would be fine in my book.

If that deal went down, I guess Thomas would be our starting 4, right??

Miller/Williams
Iguodala/Williams
Young/Carney
Thomas/Evans
Dalembert/Smith

I think that lineup gets up into the playoffs and some experience but we would also have around $13MIL in cap space which should be enough to get a stud player either thru free agency or a trade.

I'm in!

Not sure what he thinks about him...I will see if I can find out.

Keep expectations realistic this week..small moves that will help us til end of year. Thats what you will see. We wont take on a contract unless its a stud player..and that player either isnt available or we dont have the bullets to trade for that player. This summer is the impact transaction..not now.

anything further on Kyle Lowry?

Cool, thanks. At least I won't have to be up all night Thursday waiting for a trade.

Even though the deadline is at 3PM EST, there's always been a deal or two (small ones) that get submitted then but we don't find out until 5PM.

I imagine Sixersfan will have all of the info about this on Thursday. Unfortunately I will be in traffic court fighting a speeding ticket so hopefully I can get in and out of that early.

I apologize if I missed this, but do you know what we are offering to be considered in the mix? Also, did Philly have an interest in M. Miller as well or just Lowry?

+1. Excellent bench player. He's also pretty young. He just shouldn't be the starter.

If you think Evans' salary will be the difference between aquiring an all-star thing summer and not, and he's the only guy you can dump (If you can even dump him) it makes perfect sense to do so.

The unfortunate part of the salary cap game is that you can't hang onto everyone.

Even though it's completely trivial... it looks like Kidd will be wearing the #2 in Dallas since Josh Howard wears #5.
