Nene's not doing anything but taking up a roster spot, and as much as i love his play when he's on the court, he just hasn't been enough of a factor...he was good against TD last playoffs, and i think that's all i'd miss about him. if a VC for Nene deal was offered, i'd take it. the big challenge then in convincing VC to become our 6th man.
if after that move we can somehow get West and Miller without giving up TOO much i think that would be good for the team.
as good as artest could be, i don't see him as the only answer available

Originally I thought the Carter trade was a terrible idea, but if he'd accept a role off the bench as the 6th man, I' might be for it.
Then go and make that Khouba/Wafer/1st for Delonte/2nd deal, and we could potentially have a damn good lineup.
Delonte / AC / Atkins
AI / Carter / JR
Melo / Kleiza
Kmart / Najera
Camby / Hunter
Who knows how well it would all work, and Vince Carter's contract is god awful.

no way in hell would vince carter come off the bench in favor of west starting!as much of a gamble as it is...artest is the guy who would help this team on both sides of the court.
how sure are we that ron is going to opt out?their are only 2 teams I can think of that could give ron the money he wants(sixers, grizz).just my thinking but ron would be better off playing his contract out(on good behavior)cause teams are really scared to touch him...other than the knicks that is.
we'll pretty much know where we stand after tonight.we get are asses handed to us again look for the trade to go down by sunrise...if we win then we're back to square 1.even if we don't get artest we still need to grab west as a backup pg and pray to god that nene comes back soon!
