OT: Purdue @ Indiana

Post#1 » by LUKE23 » Wed Feb 20, 2008 1:08 am

Big ramifications for UW, tied with Purdue for the conference if Indiana wins.

Second half about to start, Indiana up 3. Some Indiana fan just held up a Sampson picture dressed like the Verizon guy saying, "Can you hear me now? Good"

Oh yeah, Erin Andrews is hot as hell...

it's actually been a good game to watch. Truthfully, I don't really like college hoops because of the 35 second shot clock...it's just too slow for me, but Erin Andrews makes it tolerable.

Two dunks out of the gate by Indiana and a free throw by Purdue. Hoosiers up by 6.

I won't even begin to tell you all of the nasty things I would do to Erin Andrews.

Eric Gordon is absolutely blazing quick and has good strength to boot. His height worries me a little bit, but I think he's a lock for top 5.

I'm laughing at the constant shots of Mackey Arena with everybody inside. This Robbie Hummel love is gross. What a turd that guy is.

He's a solid player for a freshman, but I think they do go a little overboard with the love of him as well.

Did that Purdue player just get punched in the nuts on the offensive rebound?

Game.

Now Badgers need to take care of business at Illinois tomorrow, which will not be an easy game.

God, Purdue couldn't put the ball in the hoop to save their lives tonight. Brutal.

I'm confused as well. You gotta love it if he were a Badger. Just a real solid player for a Frosh. Very efficient.

Martin played the first game, BTW.

EDIT: Glad Purdue lost, of course. B10 race is getting interesting.

I suspected before the game that IU would win. It will be Sampson's last home game as IU coach.. There are many people very suspicious as to why the IU athletic director was given 7 days to investigate sampson. All of the facts have been there since October when they fired Sampson's assistant coach as a scapegoat. All of the telephone calls in question were made before the season started. the only new thing is that Sampson lied about everything and tried to cover it up from the NCAA investigator. BAd move on your part Sampson. there's nothing more that is going to turn up in the 7 day period other than to see if Bobby Knight will say yes to coach the team for the rest of the season. Maybe IU could get Isaih to quit his day job and coach the team. that would make us all happy.

the real reason many suspect that IU's athletic director was given 7 days to conclude his investigation was that IU played both purdue and MSU in those 7 days and that IU didn't want their assistant coach to coach those two games.

As for the game, IU wanted this win and got it. IU is a very tough place to win at - especially in the IU / Purdue basketball rivalry. The IU / Purdue basketball rivalry is up there with OSU/Mich football. IU is a VERY tough team at home as are all Big ten teams..

The big Ten will be a 4 horse race down to the very last game. I'm kind of upset with all of the national announcers saying the Big ten is down this year just because Purdue is fighting for the big ten championship. All 4 of the top big ten teams have had convincing wins over ranked nonconference teams.

I'm not sure why you guys are making fun of Purdue fans for their love of hummel. Your love affair / lust for harris is twice as bad. I'm not sure how many posts I've gagged at reading from badger fans who want harris to play point guard for the Bucks. it's as if he's to die for. I think it's kind of refreshing to see Purdue fans really liking a player. I haven't seen that type of love for a Purdue player in a long time. Big Dog didn't get a lot of love. Fans loved brian Cardinal. Purdue fans loved Jerry Sichting so much that Kyle Macy left for kentucky and became an all American. Caron Butler felt no love, and voided his verbal and signed with UCONN after purdue helped place him at a maine prep school. if purdue fans love hummel, so be it. rather than having a bobble head to put on their mantle, they have a hummel.

I don't think so.

Hummel is a good player as a freshman and he'll only get better. Some one from the big ten network said they'd pick him first to start a big ten team, that's a little overboard. I think most would pick Gordon or DJ White.

Reed likes to get carried away when it comes to Purdue. Purdue/Indiana isn't even close to Michigan/OSU football and it's not even the top rivalry in the Big Ten for basketball.

Then most would be wrong, White is a senior and before this year has been nothing spectacular, Hummel was a much better Frosh. Gordon is one and done, so you wouldn't build around him at all, assume Gordon stayed and I believe there is still an arguement for Hummel, as he is 6'8" compared to 6'3" and Hummel can not only score but does so many other things better then Gordon....it would be close between those 2 players.

White was pretty good last year, he obviously improved a ton going into his senior year. And the argument is who you would start a team with not taking future into account, but right now.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
