I don't think those 3 are worthly of MLE Childress maybe 3.5 but no more than that he not that good on D

Childress is worth the entire MLE maybe more. Atlanta will try to not lose him. They will probably match a max MLE offer offer.

And his defense is pretty good. He rebounds well and is long, gets in passing lanes and could feed the post.

if everything falls through in trying to pursue an MLE guy I say we should just draft a 2 guard or a PF, trade battie+bogans for a 5, sign Beno Udrih and Jame Posey (or a role player like him) and call it a day...

1. The Draft: Orlando's 1st this year will be anywhere from 18 to 24. We can go 2 routes 1st one is Plan A and 2nd 1 is Plan B. 1st I think with so many good Guards coming out that Magic can Steal a True PG who can play great D. Answer: Darren Collison is one who can really help this team and  Otis draft's him.. Plan B Draft Big If he comes out Tyler Hansbrough would be Idea, Kevin Love would 2.

2. Free Agency: MLE LLE and Mins our ways to help our Team Plan A 4 the MLE DeSagana Diop, (Still young and Great Size I think he will be worth the MLE at Least) Plan B: Jamario Moon, Paul Millsap, Brandon Bass. LLE plan A Chris Duhon, Plan B Demetris Nichols

Magic line up looking somethan like this

C:Howard/ Fran
PF Bass/Battie
SF Lewis/Nichols
SG Turk/JJ
PG Collison/Nelson/Duhon

Kwame Brown What was I thinking :nonono:
What about the biggest hole this team has? what about a new GM????? Or we can let his contract to expire?? heh

One thing to keep in mind as far as Maggette goes , the teams with the capspace already have quality SG's or prospects they are high on . So the only team that could offer more is the Clippers . Will they do that though ? They already have Mobley they can plug in at the 2 . Sterling is the cheapest owner in the league and with Brand's extension coming up, they may not be a factor

what i really hope is to see a guy like mayo drop to late lottery(draftexpress has him at8,but draftnet at 12)

let say he is available at 8

orlando trade JJ+2008 1st+bogans(expiering contract)+gortat(expiering contract) to MIL for mayo+gadzuric

why: Mil dump gadzuric contract and get 2 1st pick(our 2008 and JJ) ,bogans would fit that team nicely too

orlando get mayo
then resign mo+dooling
try bring fran over
use part of the MLE to get a SG/SF (maybe pietrus)

nelson,dooling ,mayo
mo,FA
hedo,lewis,fran
lewis,cook,fran
howard,battie,gadz
Suggs, AB, Tyus, Jase
Bane, AB, TDS , Jett
Franz, TDS, Panda

Mayo won't fall this far, and even if he did, the team that takes him will not trade him to dump salarly...they will just be happy a quality player fell in their laps. And for the record, we do not really need Mayo. We need a SG who can defend and also score, not just dominate the ball and score points. We do not need Mayo for the same reasons we did not want Vince Carter. I'd rather have Kyle Weaver, and he is also a more possible option.

SG who can defend+score? don't we haev evans already

mayo has it all,he could be a good defender and a combo guard ala billups

if he falls to #8-11,i don't see why team wouldn't want a late 1st+ a ex lottery pick (JJ) and cap relief

i wouldn't even mind to throw and future pick

Mayo is a matador on defense and he needs to dominate the ball to score. He has too much upside for any team to be dump enough to trade him just to dump salary.

My number 1 would be if Jamison would sign for the MLE, he def will get more but thats the guy I would like. Along with Mags but he will get more as well.

The draft, Collison seems like a good pg but IMO I think he would do very well in a Spurs or Pistons offense. He is good in a slower offense and SVG likes to run. I wouldn't mind if the Spurs end up with lower pick than us, trading our pick for theres and rights to Splitter.

I also wouldn't mind Herrmann but it might be a clone with Cook, but hes still pretty good. I have a lot of faith in Battie, I'm a huge fan of him and I think when he comes back he can provide what we are missing right now in defense and rebounding.

My lineup we don't spend much money but add to what we have by resigning Dooling, Evans, and signing a Vet for the min, then add Fran, plus a draft pick and Herrmann to a small contract. We still stay away from the lux tax. Maybe keep the 15th slot open for a 2 for 1 trade or a player that may be waived later in the season.

Nelson, Dooling, Vet(Armstrong?)
Hedo, JJ, Draft(Rush?)
Lewis, Evans,
Battie, Cook, Herrmann
Dwight, Fran, Gortat

My .2 cent also

LOL Bogans is not gonna opt out. If Bogans opts out he wont get a deal from another that will pay him more. And with Otis refusal to trade JJ and Evans a FA, i dont see Otis bringing Bogans back.

I think Kebo will opt out . The guy is in the top 5 in 3's this season and he's got a reputation as a good defender . So I'm sure he thinks he can get a better deal . Whether he can maybe a different story

Sign Childress to the MLE
Draft Collison
Re-sign Evans and Dooling
Bring over Fran

Jameer/Dooling/Collison (to start the year)
Evans/Childress/Bogans/JJ
Turk/Childress
Shard/Cook/Fran/Gortat
Dwight/Battie/Foyle

Solid squad.

I know this is a dream but we need a PG that can defend the penetration.
Jameer is just horrible against penetrations.
Quick PGs just blow by him like hes standing still.
Why is Jameer so freakin bad on defense ??

Dooling is that guy. He and Jameer are a ying-yang thing. One is solid on offense, the other on defense. If only we could combine the 2 into one super PG named Jameyon Neling. Championship.
