I can't speak for others on the board, but what I dislike about Arroyo is his inconsistency. There are games when I am like... damn, this dude should be a starter then he'll have 5-7 games where I go "what is he doing in the NBA". My dislike for him has to do with his game and not for his heritage and culture. And I would like to believe others who hate Arroyo hate him only for his game.

I'm not sure why Arroyo did not show up in garbage time, but he is clearly the 3rd best PG on this team and will prolly be DNPing a lot here in the coming weeks.

hes not as bad as a lot of people say he is, it's a bummer he cant get any pt but he doesnt fit in the rotation with meer and dooling playing good. he could be a solid backup on another team though

BoricuaBoi makes me hate Arroyo about 10x more.

If Carlos is really your cousin, which I doubt he is in the first place, let the fool prove himself on the court, we don't need your constant remarks that we only hate him because we're all racist and just hate the Puerto Rican guy.

We dislike him because he's inconsistent, makes dumb plays, and plays no defense whatsoever. If the guy is your cousin, tell him to fix these things and maybe some of the greatest coaches in the game today (i.e. Sloan, Saunders, etc) would actually want to play him.

I don't think Arroyo is playing because Van Gundy realizes that things tend to go better when Keyon Dooling is on the floor, and we've tended to blow leads with Carlos on the floor. If he's going to have a backup pg who only looks to shoot KEyon is the guy, because he at least takes it to the rim and plays like a madman on defense. Carlos simply isn't that good.

Though inconsistent, erratic, and stupid at times, I don't think Carlos deserves as much bashing as he does. Even Kobe Bryant has off nights. I don't understand why everyone expects him to be perfect. I can tell you about 100 times in which Jameer or Keyon had screwed up, but I'm not gonna cry about it. The fact is that when he was starting, he was plaing well.

Here are his stats as a starter this year:
Record: 11-5
Minutes: 26.7
FG% - 50%
FT% - 84%
3pt.% - 35%
PPG - 9.8
RPG - 2.1
APG - 3.8
SPG - .69
TO - 1.69

I'm not saying he should start, but to say he sucks and pray to God to get rid of him is just ignorant. It was sad last night that we were up 20 in the 4th and SVG couldn't put him in for 1 minute.

I read that but im sure a lot of white people aren't watching the games either because they are on Brighthouse. Does that make his post racist to white people? Did he specially say anything like Puerto Rican's are poor or that they cant afford DirectTv? I admit his post is "hating" on Arroyo, but I dont consider it racist. Yeah he went a little overboard with his hatred for Arroyo, but at least in my opinion I didn't view it as racist. Just stupid.

haha.. believe what you want man. Fact is, directv costs about as much as brighthouse. Quit playin the victim here. Its not racism. Its about thinking a player sucks. I think Pat Garrity sucks too. Should I expect some outcry from the Irish community too?

HYSTERICAL... but its the truth.....how many of these threads are we going to have? Not one person in here has said 'F Carlos Arroyo because hes a PR'..THAT is racism... we say ARROYO SUCKS BECAUSE HE DOES NOT PRODUCE ON A BASKETBALL COURT. PERIOD.
