The NBA has a policy allowing telephoto lenses, no matter what the size, as long as you don't use flash and you don't sell/re-purpose the images. I called up the Raptors about this a while back and they confirmed it.

I recently purchased the Canon EF 70-200mm Telephoto Lens ( http://vistek.ca/details/details.aspx?W ... meraLenses ) and wanted to try it out at raps game, but was super paranoid they'd snatch it. They didn't and there was not a peep about it.

Too bad im such a crappy photographer :-?

Did you attempt to shoot in manual? Reason I'm asking, is that there's a fair bit of motion blur, and a 70-200 opened up should let you get 1/500th on your exposure, and freeze all action.
