Isn't this what the freakin' trade exception is for?

We'd actually have depth in the backcourt...Imagine that.

bringing cassel here at this point would be about as bad as when we had NVE.....i could see the bitching, moaning, faking injuries thing alllll over again

why would he really wanna play here....im sure he will go to boston. or Phoenix.

It doesn't matter where he wants to go. He can't go anywhere if we claim him off waivers. The Warriors are the only team other than Phoenix that can do that, and we have waiver priority. If nothing else, you prevent him from going to Denver or something like that.

Maybe you can squeeze a draft pick out of a team wanting to sign him (ideally Boston). I don't give a crap, it's Cohell's money. Use any advantage you can get in this business.

I think Boston wants him this year. Wouldn't be able to get a draft pick unless we trade him after the season. Too bad Barry and Cassell weren't bought out before the trade deadline. We coulda swooped up both of them and traded them for picks that Nellie wouldn't play.

He's going to Boston. No chance that we use the TE on him.

But that would be awesome if we got him as player/future coach :pray:

Not sure if he's being waived. If it's a buyout, then doesn't he become a free agent? If so, he's not coming here.

Watching Sam and Chris defend the pick and roll would likely kill me.

I do like Sam, though.

Buyout --> Waivers--> Free Agent

You guys have defeatist attitudes. We need a bulldog ready to go the extra mile and demand ownership use their luxury tax space to help in the standings.

When you buy someone out, you have to put them on waivers first, and then they have to clear waivers for the buy out to happen.

How does CJ look taking over for Baron if something happens.

I just looked at the game logs for Baron and MOnta, those two guys have been playing basically ALL the mins at the guard spots the last 10 games. we need another guard, badly. lets face it, Nellie isn't trusting the Dleague duo to give us anything, Buike plays mostly SF anyways. We need Sam or Barry.

This would never happen. Monta would slide over to PG while Azubuike would be given a bigger role in the rotation.
