I like Banks defense. He has the body to bang his opponents and I like Riley giving him some minutes of playing time. But Banks is more of a back-up PG IMO. Prove
34-35-36-37 wins, I think the point is Kobe will do better. I
This will prove Reggie Miller is right if Wade agree to sit the rest of the season.I do agree, shut Wade down for the season. Why play the guy if he isn't able to play hard and could start resting.

I dont want this to get testy but I will say this... Dwyane Wade led the Heat (along with 2 other players) to a 42-40 record and the 2nd round of the playoffs... and they got to play the Hornets with a banged up 2nd option in Mashburn
Kobe led his team to a 47-35 record one year and a 42-40 record the next year, IN A TOUGHER CONFERENCE, and had to play the powerhouse Suns both times...
definitely a comparable situation

Wade carried that team in the playoffs and those two other players you are talking about didn't even make the playoffs playing with Kobe... Caron and Lamar.

I was actually talking about Lamar and Eddie Jones who averaged 17ppg each...
The year Kobe missed the playoffs was most similar to this season for the Heat... Kobe was banged up (Like Wade now).. Lamar missed a lot of games (like Shaq) and Caron was little more than just a scorer that didnt play much defense (Davis+Wright)... The difference is still the Lakers finished with 34+ wins a tougher conference while the Heat are one pace to finish with about 14 wins (if that) in one of the weakest conferences OF ALL TIME
Not to mention Lakers were in 7th place that year before Rudy T walked out on the team and Frank FREAKING Hamblan took over... You guys have a hall of fame coach

Eddie Jones?? I was talking about getting the team to the 2nd round of the playoffs trust me Eddie had nothing to do with that. It was all Wade. That BS talk by Reggie made no sense but it's easy to pile on Wade when he's down. I know he would have more than 1 point in the 2nd half of a game 7. I was just bringing up the fact that Kobe still hasn't got to the 2nd round without Shaq in light of Reggie's comments. But yes I agree with what you're saying and Kobe is the much better player this season.

You can't just rely on statistics. The team was visibly lead by Wade in the 2nd half of the season and the playoffs, when they really made their runs.

Eddie Jones was the leading scorer for the Heat during the regular season that year and had nothing to do with their playoff run
You dont agree with what Im saying because youre completely missing my point... Wade "carried" his team to the 2nd round but played in a lesser conference and against lesser competition...
Only reason Kobe hasnt been to the 2nd round without Shaq is because he plays in the loaded West and has run into powerhouse teams in the playoffs... If Lakers played that same crappy Hornets team last year or the year before they would have made it to the 2nd round
Period

Youre still missing my point. They still only had 42 wins in the Least, Kobe has done better than that in a better conference

42 wins because they started 0-7, were suffering injuries and got a new coach they didn't have the benefit of having a preseason with. However after the allstar break that year Miami had the BEST RECORD IN THE NBA.
How far did Kobe get the following year with practically the same key players Wade had?

You really wanna use injuries and a new coach as an excuse?
