After losing 4 in a row to close out the month of February, the Sonics will head into march with a 15 - 43 record. It won't get easier for them, as they're starting the month of March with a seven game road trip, starting tonight with a visit in Minneapolis, where they'll play the team with the worst record of the western conference, the Minnesota Timberwolves.

He may not be a center in the NBA but he'll be a project big man. #34 would be the one to get him on.

yes, i love nathan.

I think he'll really go well in the NBA. He's the kind of player that if you don't double team him down low he'll easily back you down and score, and if you do he is a terrific passer with a level head. he's range is increasing, he's becoming more polished and his back to the basket defense is solid. I'd say his major flaw would be defending quicker centres that will face him up. man he's gotta big head though.

and he gets up so quick on those dunks. Never seen anyone explode up like him. I reckon it's .01 of a second from floor to dunk.

and he's Australian...you can't go wrong. I'd even consider taking him with the phoenix pick if its in the 25-30 range

That reason why teams like the Sonics should try to scrape every last win they can out of this season is because of the lottery.

Sonics won 31 games last year and ended up with the #2 pick. Anything can happen so they should "try" to win every game.

Look at Boston and Memphis last year. How'd tanking work out for them?

I'm not sure why people desperatly want to finish at the bottom 3. There's no guarantee for anything during the lottery and we've all seen last year, what finishing with the 5th and 6th worst record and can land you in the lottery.

BTW: We played the worst team in the west and it wasn't a surprise that we won that game. Also, looking at our schedule, i think we'll finish the season with something around 20-22 wins, which shouldn't net us anything less than 4th worst record and that would still give us a really good chance at a top 3 pick.

I understand you're an Australian and he dominates the Australian league. But I watched this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UpJszNGHjNA and was quite disappointed despite the hype on the draft board. His competition plays no defense whatsoever and while they may be tall he has at least 50 pounds on almost all of them so he just pushes them around. Also the mechanics and slowness of his jumper make me cringe. He's a banger though and look at the positive impact a guy like Fortson had on our team a few years ago before his head got in the way.


Edit: I hate teams that tank, and that's the one good thing about the hated lottery system.

haha good point. I remember there used to be a video on you tube where Luke went to the line and accidently banked a free throw in. Haven't seen that happen since the under 12 girls comps
