OT: Best Place to Buy a Car in Miami??

Hey guys...

I'm new in town, and I'm looking to buy a car, and I'm not sure on where to look....

I'm not looking to buy from a big official dealership.....I don't need any special warranties or any special treatment.......I just want a place that will give me the best price possible....

Optimally......I'm looking for a used car lot..........that gets it's cars from wholesalers and auctioneers.....and just sell them off ASAP for a relatively small profit...

Is there any "Auto Sales" neighborhoods or areas that have all the used car lots??.....Should I even be looking in Miami??...or should I look somewhere nearby??......I don't mind driving out a lil' bit...

better yet........can you guys recommend any specific place??

I'm looking to spend about 8-12 G's....maybe a lil' higher if it's the right deal....

Also.....on a side note.......I'll be looking to ship the car back to NY at some point......does anyone have any experience with that?.......I got a couple quotes around 600-700 bucks........and I was wondering whether that was reasonable??......

they have a lot in miami.... i mean A LOT!!! but just keep in mind most of these guys are in to make a profit, huge profit... and will throw any thing they can at you to sucker you in...best thing to do is go on auto trader to get a general idea of how much u can get the car ur looking for... remember when prices are too good to be true from dealerships something is going on there, maybe a rebuilt or messed up engine and/or parts....so whenever u find the cheapest price call them up and find out why they are selling it for so cheap... best place to buy a car IMO is from a personal seller who can no longer make payments... get the loan from capital one and u'll be set...good luck

from a quick look on cars.com

it looks like there are a lot of small dealerships in Hollywood....is this a good place to start???

Carmax.com

This dealer sells new & used cars, and the used cars has no previous crash history. They don't buy cars that have been on any type of minor or major accidents.

Plus, they sell on solid prices. It's like the Wal Mart of car dealerships in Miami. lol

There's one in Doral at 12 st and I believe 104 avenue.

Dude.. Auto Trader. Kendall Toyota has a huge selection of used cars. But I think Auto Trader.com is the best or pick one up at a local gas station.
