Iowa Energy: NBDL update

Post#1 » by MartyConlonJr » Mon Mar 3, 2008 7:04 am

The Iowa Energy used a balanced offense to beat the Albuquerque Thunderbirds, , 115-108, on Sunday night.

The loss was the fourth straight for the Thunderbirds.

Iowa had six players in double-figures. Daequan Cook led the Energy with 26 points. Doug Thomas and Jeff Horner each had a double-double for the Energy. Thomas posted 16 points and 14 rebounds, while Horner notched 13 points and 10 assists.

Daequan with 26 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and a steal. 10/23 FG, 4/9 3PT and 2/3 FT.

Jo-el with 7 points, 7 boards, 4 blocks and a steal on 3/7 FG and 1/4 FT.

A great first game for Daequan, maybe Riley was right. Got 40 minutes in the game, got a win and got a tonne of shots.

Other NBDL stats I saw:

Brian Chase somehow has an error when you access his stats, but he had 39 points in his last game as a career high, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 of 18 threes :o 1 turnover as well.

Turdchucker has continued his heat form since returning, averaging about 9 ppg, 3 rpg and 4 apg on 27% FG and 33% 3PT shooting

Who was that dude we wanted to make the team at the start of the season, you know, the guy who was a sick rebounder and a bit of a garbage guy? I think his name was Marcus or something, can anyone remember?

Don't worry, it was Slaughter. Well he isn't even in the NBDL.

26 points on 23 shots? Good all-around game, but he can do better than that.

43% FG percentage and 44% beyond the arc is not that bad. Hell, that would be great to have. lol I like his assists though, seems like he's doing good passing as well.

Demetris Nichols is tearing it up against the Arsenal. Why didn't Riley pick him up after he was waived during the season, did we have a thread for him?
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?
